This document introduces the Cafe Style Speed Training methodology for learning and development. It describes the new EPIC methodology as experiential, playful, iterative, and collaborative. The new approach addresses both what is learned (focusing on skills for the creative age like empathy, resilience, and flexibility) and how it is learned (through positive emotional states, social interaction, and experiential activities rather than traditional lectures). An example cafe style activity is presented, and research shows these activities can achieve learning outcomes 6-8 times faster than traditional training while being better retained. The Cafe Style phone app provides access to hundreds of these bite-size learning activities on demand. Customer testimonials praise the approach for transforming culture and engagement
Engagement & Results- Correlation or Causation?Michael Stewart
Work Effects' unique approach to organizational health and purposeful culture transforms organizations by driving strategy through culture to get results.
This contrasts the popularized idea that a "good" culture is guaranteed if employees are engaged. This view of culture is merely the health of the organization and is only part of what culture is.
Work Effects views culture on spectrum of great-to-great, not great-to-toxic. Feeling good or bad about the organization is not the same as “how” work gets done and does not fully define what organizational culture is.
