The document discusses the challenges of balancing transparency and protecting confidential information when communicating about natural resource damage assessments (NRDAs) related to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Attorneys aim to preserve privilege and confidentiality, while communicators seek transparency. Maintaining this balance through regular collaboration and coordination between legal and communication experts is key.
While in the playroom with a child, a caregiver should interact with and praise the child, ensure safe play, provide structure and warnings before transitions, and reinforce appropriate behavior. A caregiver should not leave a child unattended, allow unsafe interactions with objects or other children, or ignore the child in favor of other conversations.
If a child bites you and breaks the skin, wash the bite with antibacterial soap and notify a teacher assistant (TA) immediately. The TA will help assess if further medical attention is needed and notify the child's parents. To prevent biting, inform staff if a child attempts to bite so they can monitor the behavior and warn others. If another child is bitten, notify staff right away.
Pat exhibits disruptive behaviors like tantrums, hitting and screaming during tutoring sessions. There are three potential reasons for these behaviors: the tasks may be too difficult, the reinforcers provided may not be strong enough, or attention received after the behaviors may be reinforcing them. Assar spotlight on communicating climate information - November 2015weADAPT
This time around, our Spotlight focuses on communicating climate information. In it we grapple with increasingly relevant topics, such as which climate messages are most important, which audiences are key and how we can all talk to each other, rather than past each other.
The document outlines the challenges of meeting diverse user needs for climate information. It conducted 80 interviews with climate knowledge brokers and users globally. Six key aspects of user needs were identified: 1) information tailored to specific contexts and decisions, 2) appropriate format, timescale and geography, 3) navigating islands of knowledge in a sea of ignorance, 4) range from aware professionals to unaware decision-makers, 5) situating climate information in sectoral and local context, 6) information from trusted sources. The diversity of user needs requires tailored information to support effective climate-informed decision making.
