TRANSFER
1. Write Protect
2. Take photograph if
   applicable
3. Virus Scan
4. Run a Treesize scan and
   copy inventory of file
   types to AT
5. Transfer with Duke Data
   Accessioner
6. Create Metadata folder
7. Save file manifest, Virus
   Scan, and photograph to
   metadata folder
POST TRANSFER
1. Remove media and store
   with original accession if
   applicable
2. Permanently delete any
   files transferred to
   desktop during
   accession
3. Copy entire accession
   folder to RAID array for
   additional backup
4. Finish filling out
   accession record in AT

WHAT NEXT?
 Refine basic workflow for processing.
 Explore possibility of integrating disk images into the
  workflow.
 Explore potential adoption of Archivematica or other
  automated workflow in the future.
 Work with our systems team to establish an ingest
  process for institutional records that will be stored in the
  library’s new repository.
