years to create “The Curse Of The Warerabbit.
• it is significant because it was the first time the company won
oscar on all their films with “A Grand Day Out” losing out to
Creature Comforts.
4. Creature Comforts

• The program used real people voices about events
going on at the moment and then turn into animals
which then are animated
• same as Wallace and Gromit the program is made from
clay and was also the first program that Nick Park
created.
• it was the first feature short film that won Aardman an
oscar for best short animated film and also put
Aardman to invest in more bigger projects
5. Flushed Away
• Release date 3rd November 2006
• Written by Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais and Simon Nye,
Vocal Talent Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet and Ian Mckellen
• Flushed Away is a computer animated film and the first
film that wasn’t done by Nick Park. the film was a massive
success in the US.
• this was the first film that was released in America before
it was shown in the UK it was also the highest grossing
film.
• It was voted film of the animated film of the year and also
was recognised as a big production company for animated
film.
6. Chicken Run
• Release date 23rd June 2000
• Directed by Nick Park and Peter Lord,Vocal Talent Mel
Gibson and Julia Sawalha.
• Chicken run was Nick Park first feature film and also
his first CGI Animated film.
• this was Aardman first feature film and the film went on
to quadruple the budget fund in the box office and was
one of the highest grossing films of the year. it took 2
years to make.
• it was one of the highest grossing films of the year it
won multiple film awards for best film and Animated
film
7. Gromit
• Gromit is a very important character because he never
speaks in any of the programs and film but his facial
expressions tell a whole different story. when they
came to making Wallace and Gromit the first idea was
to have Gromit talking but when they realised that is
facial expressions and body language were more
interesting and it was received well by critics as they
thought he was the perfect double partner for Wallace.
they got rid of the actor who would do the voice over.
Nick Park created Gromit as the UK being dog lovers.
8. Key technology
• Aardman are very noticeable by the style of work with
it being that most of their work is done with plasticine
and it does take a very long time to film the sequence
but this is their most notable work and is recognised
around the world especially their most famous work
Wallace and Gromit.
