The Central Supplier Database will serve as a single source of key supplier information for South African government organizations from April 2016. Prospective suppliers who want to do business with the South African government should self-register on the Central Supplier Database by providing identification, contact, address, bank account, tax, owner and commodity information. Once submitted, the supplier's details will be assessed for inclusion in the Central Supplier Database.

1. Register on the Central Supplier
Database for Government
The Central Supplier Database will serve as the single source of key
supplier information for organs of state from 1 April 2016 providing
consolidated, accurate, up-to-date, complete and verified supplier
information to procuring organs of state.
Prospective suppliers interested in pursuing opportunities within
the South African Government are encouraged to self-register on the
Central Supplier Database.
This self-registration application represents an expression of
interest from the supplier to conduct business with the South African
Government. Once submitted, your details will be assessed for
inclusion on the Central Supplier Database.

2. Supplier self-registration process as
from 1 September 2015
1. Access the CSD site on www.csd.gov.za
2. Register a new CSD account
3. Receive an activation email and OTP
4. Activate account and enter OTP
5. Log in on the CSD
6. Complete the following information:
• supplier identification information
• contact information
• address information
• bank account information
• tax information
• owner information (if non-CIPC company)
• associations
• commodities information
• B-BBEE information (Future phase)
7. Maintain users
8. Click on Submit
9. A CSD Supplier Number and unique security code is auto-generated
and communicated
10. Organs of State access verified CSD supplier information
