A Second Life fundraising program provides an easy and convenient way for schools to earn money through collecting donated goods. The program staff coordinate collection with school captains and provide bags, then send a van to pick up the goods. Schools are paid based on the weight collected. The donated goods benefit local charities while also helping the environment by reducing landfill, saving energy and water, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. The recycling process also creates jobs in Australia, including for people with disabilities.
