37. "Our Dad is FREE“
Daddy I know you will tell us don't grieve for me
because now I am Free.
We know you followed the path that God has laid you to see.
You took his hand when you heard God call,
You turned around and left us all.
We wish you could have stayed another day
To watch your movies, laugh and play
Undone tasks like this must just stay,
Because we know that you found peace at the end of the day.
Your parting has left a big void
But trust us we will fill it with remembered joy
Your friendship, your love and your kiss, oh yes!
These things we will miss.
We will try not to burden ourselves with times of sorrow
Because we know you are gonna send sunshine tomorrow,
Your life has been full we can say that much,
With family, friends, good times and loved one's touch.
Perhaps you leaving us was too brief,
It will be hard to undue this grief.
We will lift our hearts and have peace to thee
Because we know that God has set you FREE!
Love you Daddy!
