Derrick Rose has played for the Chicago Bulls since 2008 when he was drafted number one overall. He grew up in Chicago as a fan of the Bulls and showed great basketball talent from a young age, leading his high school junior varsity team to a city championship in his first year and averaging over 25 points per game by senior year. Rose attended the University of Memphis for one year where he helped the Tigers win 38 games before declaring for the NBA draft. He was selected by the Bulls and went on to win MVP in 2011, cementing his status as one of the team's star players.
