6. Derek Anderson Golf Lesson DA working on maintaining posture in the downswing by keeping his butt back. This will do two things. First it will create space for his arms to pass his body and bottom out in front of the ball. Second it will clear his left hip to make room for the right hip. Both leading to improved contact and more distance.

7. Tony Rizzo from ESPN Radio WKNR Rizzo doing his evaluation and seeing his golf swing steep and off plane. When the club is that far off plane the clubhead approaches the outside part of the ball. This produces both pull shots and slicing. He works to much not time to improve his game.

8. Mike Hargrove Swing Evaluation Grover being unfairly compared to the Big Easy. Grover is a good athlete but struggles with understanding impact and where the club bottoms out. This leaves his arm a bit jammed at impact. Not much flexibility in his lower body which was surprising for a professional baseball player.

11. Swing Plane Before and After in the Same Lesson Rach working on his downswing plane. When a player can get the shaft on plane or parrallel to the primary plane line there a few good things that happen. The first being that the clubhead approaches the ball from the correct angle. This angle gives us the opportunity to send the ball to our intended target. Clubhead speed will also increase as a club on plane travels faster than a club off plane.

12. Playing to Your Potential At GolfTEC Cleveland we take great pride in getting our students to play better golf. If you have gone through the process you understand that there aren’t any shortcuts. In order to play to your potential you need to invest some time and money in improving your technique, having properly fit equipment, and an understanding and appreciation for both physical and mental conditioning. In addition it is also important that we continue to improve as instructors so that we can give our clients the very best golf instruction available. Our goal is pretty simple as we take our clients through a three step process. First, we give you the right steps or the correct information of what needs to be fixed. Secondly we need to organize the information. Some players have the information of what needs to be fixed but if they don’t know what to work on first or how to practice they will make very little progress. The last thing is to move at the right pace. From time to time we have players that have the information, have the information organized, but they want all the information at once. I assure you that this player will also make little improvement. To really get better and drop your average score you need a teacher that can give you the right steps organized in the right order and then control the pace of information you are given so that you don’t get overwhelmed by what you are learning. Respecting the process and working with a qualified teacher who can really put together a plan for improvement will get you Playing to Your Potential.
