Allah'ın yaratma sıfatı "tekvin" kavramıyla ifade edilmiştir. Allah evrendeki her şeyi tekvin sıfatının gereği olarak yaratmıştır. Kur'anıkerim'de geçen "O, göklerin ve yerin yaratıcısıdır... Her şeyi o yaratmıştır." (En'am suresi 101) ayeti bütün varlıkların Allah tarafından yaratıldıklarını ifade etmektedir. Çünkü yaratmak sadece Allah'a özgüdür. O, bir şeyin olmasını istediğinde sadece ona ol demesi yeterlidir. 2
4. Allah her şeyi niçin bir ölçüye göre yaratmıştır? Allah evrende yarattığı her varlığı belirli bir ölçü içinde, özenle yaratmıştır. Bu nedenle Allah'ın yarattığı varlıklarda güzellik, uyum ve denge vardır. Bu konudaki ayetlerden bazıları şöyledir: 3

Hiçbir çatlak(düzensizlik) görüyor musun?" (Mülk suresi, 3. ayet) Dünyanın kendi eksine etrafında dönüş hızı, ayın dünyaya olan uzaklığı, atmosfer tabakasının kalınlığı, havadaki gaz miktarı vb. evrende mükemmel uyum olduğunu gösterir. Kur'an'ın işaret ettiği ölçülü yaratılış ile ilgili bilimsel gerçeklerden bazıları şunlardır: 6

13. Allah'ın her şeyi bir ölçüye göre yaratmasının bizim için önemi nedir? Evrende var olan her şeyin belirli bir ölçüye göre, belirli bir düzen içinde ve bir amaca bağlı olarak yaratıldığını kavrarız. Bu durum bizim Allah'ın varlığını, birliğini, gücünü kudretini görmemizi sağlar. Çevremizde gördüğümüz bu delillerden hareketle bilinçli bir mümin haline gelmemize yardımcı olur. 9
14. Allah'ın her şeyi bir ölçüye göre yaratmasıyla ilgili olarak bize düşen görev nedir? Kur'an, sık sık evrendeki ölçü ve dengeyi hatırlatarak, bunlar üzerinde düşünmemizi, dersler çıkarmamızı ister. Bu anlamda bize düşen görev, Allah'ın evrende koyduğu ölçü ve denge üzerinde düşünmek, incelemek, varlıklar âlemi için yararlı bilimsel çalışmalar ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca Allah, evrende düzensizlik ve kargaşa ortamı oluşmaması bir denge koymuştur. İnsan da evrendeki düzen ve ahengi bozacak davranışlardan kaçınmaktır. Çünkü yeryüzündeki hayat Allah'ın yarattığı bu düzen sayesinde sürmektedir. 10
