8 Functions of Intel Arc Graphics That
Make Them Unique
Intel is known for its advanced graphics technology with a long reputation for integrated
graphics. The superior graphics drivers of Intel allow smooth communication between operating
systems.
Due to unique Intel Arc GPU technology, the processor graphics hardware doesn’t use
separate memory banks for video and graphics cards. The graphics processing unit uses the
system's memory.
1. Architecture:
Intel Arc Alchemist cards are based on the N6 node from chip maker TSMC.
Intel combines four Xe cores into a render slice and adds a shared L2 cache.
Xe HPG is a scalable architecture. This is designed to deliver breakthrough performance.
It also offers efficiency and scalability for gamers and developers.
With the help of advanced Xe cores, you get high-performance gaming and improve the
experience across multiple platforms, from mobile to desktop to the cloud.
It enables high-performance gaming for everyone.
DirectX 12 fully supports hardware ray tracing, variable rate shading, and more in
upcoming video games.
Thanks to the graphics processor DG2-512 with a die area of 406 mm² and 21,700
million transistors. You get shading units, 256 texture mapping units, and 128 ROPs.
The card also allows for 32 ray tracing acceleration cores. Intel has paired the Arc A770
with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, specifically connected via a 256-bit memory interface.
The GPU runs at a frequency of 2100 MHz. It can be continuously increased to 2400
MHz; Memory runs at 2000 MHz (16 Gbps effective).
2. Ray tracing and upscaling:
Rasterization and ray tracing are fundamental real-time graphics performance
capabilities. It drives the future of gaming.
This is optimized for both DirectX12 Ultimate and Vulkan. This fixed-function rendering
includes geometry, rasterization, texture sampling, pixel processing, and ray tracing.
The ray tracing function is mainly reserved for high-end Intel Arc GPUs with a
performance of 60 frames per second. Both Arc and Nvidia graphics technologies
support ray tracing technology. The Arc 750 is well behind the Nvidia 3060, but both can
hit the 30 fps mark on average.
The performance gap is due to the shrinkage of 1440P. The Intel Arc Graphics A750 is
superior due to its high memory bandwidth. This makes it easier to inject cores at high
resolutions. Like Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling technology, Intel Arc has its Xe
Supersampling upscaling software.
This is also similar to AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution. XeSS is a brand-independent
upgrade that can work effectively on any GPU. It is separately optimized for Intel's own
graphics cards.
The XeSS super sampling technology has four modes: Ultra Quality, Quality, Balanced
and Performance.
3. Dynamic power distribution:
Dynamic Power Share provides automatic and dynamic power redistribution between
CPU and GPU processing engines. Dynamic Power Share Deep Link technology is also
supported on mobile systems using Intel Arc Graphics.
This technology intelligently routes power between the CPU and GPU. The Dynamic
Power Share envelope is controlled by intelligent algorithms that distribute power
between the processor and graphics. With the help of dynamic power distribution, you
can easily play heavy-duty games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077,
Halo Infinite etc.
4. Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) support:
Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is a technology developed by NVIDIA that uses
machine learning to upscale lower-resolution images to higher resolutions. This offers
smooth gameplay and improved visual quality.
The Arc GPU should support DLSS, a significant advantage for gamers. This improves
your gaming experience without affecting performance.
5. Multi-display support:
The Intel Arc GPU series supports multi-display setups, allowing users to connect up to
four displays simultaneously. This is particularly useful for content creators who need
multiple monitors for video editing or other graphics-intensive tasks. Gamers will also
benefit from multi-display support, providing a more immersive gaming experience.
6. Hardware accelerated encoding and decoding:
The Arc GPU can quickly export videos and stream gameplay in high-quality thanks to
its hardware-accelerated encoding and decoding for popular video codecs such as HEVC
and AV1.
7. Intel Optane Memory:
With the help of Intel Optane memory, you can speed up game loads. Gamers can easily
play heavy-duty games like God of War, The Elder Scrolls, Red Dead Redemption, etc.
Thanks to optane-based SSDs that offer you room to perform faster boots-up and app

8. Better streaming:
Intel offers a room for wired quality that performs wireless gaming. It delivers nearly
