There are 6 regular types of Russian banknotes as well as 2 special edition banknotes for the Sochi Olympics. The regular notes range in value from 10 rubles to 5000 rubles and are different colors. They feature various landmarks and historical sites from cities across Russia on the front and back, such as the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station, St. Petersburg's Neva statue, and Moscow's Bolshoy Theatre. The special 100 ruble notes for the Olympics are bluish-pink and feature a snowboarder and imagery from the Sochi games.

blue in colour.
On the front side we see

5. The one hundred – ruble note is henna – red in
colour. On the front side we see Apollo’s Quadriga
on the Building of the Bolshoy Theatre in Moscow.
And on the reverse Panorama of Theater Square
is shown.

6. The five hundred – ruble note is violet in colour.
The Monument to Peter the Great, a sailing vessel
and the building of the Sea – river station in
Arkhangelsk are on the front. Solovki monastery is
on the back.

7. The one thousand – ruble
note is turquoise in colour.
