Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

Welcome to the 5LINX® business opportunity! Are you ready to learn about an exciting opportunity that can change your life forever? We’re not talking about another job. We’re talking about the opportunity to control your time and financial future! More than 95% of Americans work for someone else for 40 years or more and never achieve their financial goals. Will that be you? Learn how to break out of that “40-year-plan” and realize the success and lifestyle you deserve. Over the next few minutes, we’ll show you how!
5LINX® launched its operations in the spring of 2001 with a simple philosophy: “Representatives come first!” This philosophy combined with the core principles of 5LINX® (Freedom, Integrity, Vision, Opportunity and Success) form the foundation of the company’s unprecedented success. Each year Inc. Magazine, a highly respected business publication, tracks the 500 fastest growing private companies in North America. 5LINX®, currently featured on this prestigious list as one of the fastest growing companies, has experienced over 800% growth over the past four years! The stability of 5LINX® was further documented in the July 2008 issue of Success from Home magazine. This issue was dedicated to showcasing the company’s tremendous success and included lifestyle stories on many of the most successful individuals in the 5LINX® opportunity. In October 2007 5LINX®, based in Rochester, NY, completed a state-of-the-art, 50,000 square-foot world headquarters. With the construction of this new facility and an experienced management team in telecommunications and direct marketing industries, 5LINX® is perfectly positioned to grow into a billion dollar company! Worldwide expansion is in the near future for 5LINX®. Considering most of the world’s population lives outside of the United States, international expansion represents tremendous growth potential for the company and you!
In 5LINX® there are three unique dynamics. They are: the opportunity, the compensation plan and Individual business ownership. The 5LINX® business truly is as easy as 1-2-3!
Now let’s discuss the 5LINX® opportunity. One of the biggest keys to success in business is being in the right place at the right time. It’s about identifying a wealth trend and capitalizing on it. The most successful companies were created by individuals who were smart enough to position themselves in front of significant wealth trends. In the 1980s, the PC industry exploded and the long distance industry was opened up for competition. In the 1990s, cellular phones and the Internet were the big wealth trends. If you were viewing this presentation in the late nineties and the name of the company was Yahoo!, knowing that Yahoo! became a six-billion dollar company, would you have positioned yourself to capitalize on that opportunity? Today, the biggest wealth trend is VoIP (also known as Voice over Internet Protocol). VoIP is digital home phone service that sends and receives calls over the Internet rather than traditional copper lines. VoIP is less expensive and includes many more features than traditional phone service. 5LINX® has created an opportunity for you to position yourself in front of this massive shift of wealth through GLOBALINX®, a 5LINX® owned company.
GLOBALINX® can cut the cost of your home phone service up to 50% or more. The GLOBALINX® Home Unlimited Plan is only $24.95 per month. It includes every calling feature GLOBALINX® offers, as well as unlimited local and long-distance calling to anywhere in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Plus unlimited landline calling to over 75 countries worldwide! The VoIP industry is exploding! There are currently over 15 million subscribers in the U.S. alone. Industry experts predict that the number of new customers will exceed 30 million by 2011. That’s nearly one million new VoIP customers each month. This shift of wealth is happening with or without you! 5LINX® has even added an affordable way to see friends and family with our exclusive VideoPhone. GLOBALINX® customers can talk and see member-to-member for free, anywhere in the world. Never again miss those important events in your family’s lives! With the GLOBALINX® VideoPhone it’s almost like being there. You are able to market GLOBALINX® VoIP service and our exclusive VideoPhone to residential and commercial customers. With more than 100 million homes and 30 million small businesses in the U.S., the opportunity to profit on this wealth trend is almost limitless!
5LINX® also offers a variety of additional products and services including 5LINX® Home Security, Cellular Phones, Plans and Accessories, Broadband Internet and Satellite Television. 5LINX® is truly your one-stop-shop for all your telecommunications needs.
Now let’s discuss the incredible 5LINX® compensation plan. The 5LINX® system helps you leverage your time and maximize your income. Every Fortune 500 company has thousands of employees that generate revenue for the company . How would your life change if you had a company with thousands of representatives generating revenue for you and your family? As you begin your 5LINX® business as an Independent Marketing Representative, or IMR, you can realize rewards quickly. Assume that out of the 300 million people in the U.S. you can find three people who want to make money by capitalizing on the exciting VoIP revolution. In addition to your first three business partners, acquire 20 personal customer points by helping people save money on products they already use, and you will achieve the first leadership position as a 5LINX® Executive Trainer. If you accomplish this in your first 30 days, you will receive a $1,000 bonus. Of course, the three IMRs you introduced to 5LINX® will also want to earn the $1,000 bonus. That is how your company begins to grow.
Every successful company starts with one person who has a vision to expand. Your 5LINX® business begins with you. If your three IMRs duplicate your efforts your organization will grow exponentially. That is the power of duplication! For example, 5LINX® pays $4 each month for every $24.95 GLOBALINX® customer. You earn a percentage of that $4 based on your earned position when the customer is acquired. Every time a new customer is acquired anywhere in your organization, you get a raise! There is no limit to the number of customers that can be acquired.
If you develop a small team of only 20 IMRs throughout your entire career with 5LINX® . . . And each IMR acquires just 20 GLOBALINX® customers . . . And you earn an average commission of 50 cents for each customer . . . You would earn a total of $200 per month in residual income! Remember, this isn’t like “job money.” If you develop a $200 residual income and walk away from your business, you will continue to receive that residual income every month for as long as those customers continue to pay their bills. Think about how an extra $200 per month would enhance your lifestyle?
If you can develop of team of 20, you surely can develop a team of 200 IMRs! If you did it would increase your residual income to $2,000 each month! How could earning an additional $2,000 each month change your life? You could get yourself out of debt! You could move into a nicer home! You could buy a nicer vehicle! You could save more for your retirement! You could create a college fund or pay for your child’s college! You could give more to your church or favorite charity! How many customers do you want to get paid on every month when they pay their bills? Your earning potential is unlimited and you have the opportunity to build a business that achieves your financial goals.
As you build your 5LINX® business, you can give yourself a raise each time you progress through five leadership positions. Based on your earned position, whenever a new IMR joins your team, with or without your help, you are positioned to earn a one-time bonus. Based on your earned position, you can earn up to $427 when they get qualified by acquiring four customers in their first 30 days. Based on the growth of your business, these bonuses (paid weekly) can amount to thousands of dollars each month!
As a 5LINX® representative, you are also eligible for the monthly profit sharing bonus pools. These pools pay dividends on both customer acquisition and team building. You can earn a percentage of what the entire company is producing on a monthly basis.
The benefits don’t stop there! 5LINX® is committed to further rewarding its top leadership. Senior Vice Presidents are treated like company executives and receive a corporate benefits package. This includes a monthly car allowance for your silver BMW, an annual paid vacation, the ability to qualify for an expense account, stock options, and a $3 GLOBALINX® bonus for new customers. All it takes to achieve the position of Senior Vice President is desire and a good work ethic.
When you reach Platinum SVP, 5LINX® takes the benefits to a whole new level! 5LINX® will make the monthly payment on a silver Bentley and you participate in the Platinum Bonus Pool where all the 5LINX® Platinum SVPs earn a percentage of the company’s total production. This includes 75¢ for every $24.95 GLOBALINX® customer, 75¢ for every 5LINX® Home Security customer, and $20 for every qualified IMR.
Now, let’s discuss business ownership. The greatest part about the 5LINX® opportunity is that it isn’t a job, it is business ownership. That means you can’t get fired, you can work at your own pace, and you can enjoy all the tax advantages that owning a business affords. Most people have thought about owning their own business. The main problem with a traditional business is the start-up cost. Imagine starting your own digital phone company. You would have to incur the expense of a building, telecommunications equipment, computer systems, employee salaries and benefits, product inventory, taxes, etc. In the end, it would cost millions of dollars to start! The good news is that 5LINX® has already taken that risk and invested the millions of dollars necessary to start a successful telecommunications company! All you need to do is purchase a turn-key business for only $499! For less than $500, you can become a 5LINX® Independent Marketing Representative and enjoy the unlimited potential your business offers without all the risk and headaches of starting your own digital phone company! 5LINX® also offers another starting position, “Customer Representative.” However, the income potential is limited to only what you personally produce. You cannot make money on the efforts of anyone else.
5LINX® wants new IMRs to become profitable within their first 30 days. To help achieve this, the company offers a $1,000 Quick Start Bonus to any new IMR who acquires 20 customer points and enrolls three qualified IMRs within their first 30 days! Most traditional businesses take three to five years to become profitable. With a 5LINX® business you can become profitable in less than one month! It gets even better! A customer point is any service product that 5LINX® offers. Therefore, 20 customer points does not mean 20 different people. Each person, including you, can count for multiple customer points when they sign up for multiple 5LINX® services.
With 5LINX® you’re in business for yourself, but not by yourself. The turn-key training and support system is easily accessible to all 5LINX® representatives. 5LINX® offers marketing materials to help grow your business, the 5LINX® University, live conference call trainings, group trainings in many markets, and best of all, life-changing national training conventions! If you can follow a proven, simple system, your success is inevitable with 5LINX®!
The 5LINX® business opportunity is really as easy as 1-2-3. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to position yourself in front of this massive shift of wealth! To get started today, fill out an application and schedule a time to meet with a leader within the next 24 to 48 hours to go over the 5LINX® Quick Start training!
