I am pleased to advise your application for admission of membership of our Institution has been
approved by the Membership Committee, and you have been awarded the grade of GRADUATE.
Your membership number will be 702666.
Your membership entitles you to receive notification of all SAIMechE branch events and newsletters,
as well as Head Office notices, such as the Institution AGM. In addition, you will receive copies of the
publication The SA Mechanical Engineer at no extra cost.
The financial year is 1 May to 30 April and you will be invoiced for a full year's membership later this
month for your 2015/2016 subscriptions. Please remember subscriptions need to be keep up-to-date
in order to retain membership. The Institution sponsors a number of events and activities aimed
specifically towards the younger generation, to make them aware of mechanical engineering as a
career. These events include the “Technology Programme”.
We also welcome your suggestions which will grow the discipline and urge you to use the website to
its fullest potential by forming specialist interest groups with fellow members; interacting; participating
in blogs and forums and so much more.
