uniqueness of this film is that every scene that Tupac is in, will be actual
footage of himself.
Given all the tension between Deathrow and Tupac’s camp, Pac’s going to Vegas didn’t feel
right, so Gobi also decided to go. Once Gobi found out Tupac had been shot, Gobi went
straight to the hospital and ended up sitting security for a week for his friend and business
partner, amidst death threats, FBI informants and a non cooperative Police Department.
Given Hollywood’s new desire for urban content (Dope, Straight Out Of Compton, Empire)
and the relevancy of todays ongoing civil rights issues and how they factored into Tupac
message, the timing for this film is ideal. (The 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death is 2016)

Born in England, Gobi has cultivated an accomplished and
extensive career in film, TV, branding and social media. Gobi
brings over 18 years of experience and over 300 credits across
multiple platforms producing and directing commercials, music
videos and branded content.
He just produced a reality pilot for VH1 for Joke Productions.
Just prior to that he put together some commercials for HOT
POCKETS and MICROSOFT. He also directed a branded
commercial/video for Nestle’s HOT POCKETS, starring Snoop
Lion, which garnered over a BILLION media impressions. Gobi is
also producing upcoming Surf film Tubed 3D, which is being
helmed by Dana Brown (Step Into Liquid, Endless Summer 2)
He just finished directing a documentary for Draeger
Pharmaceutical on Neonatal care of premature babies, that has
debuted on a global web platform. Prior to that he directed and
produced a series of commercials, viral videos, mini docs for the
brand The House of Marley. He also directed the first of a series
of comedy narratives for Levity Entertainment entitled “My
Two Worlds”. His recent directing of webisodic ARG (alternative
reality gaming) for Nestle’s Butterfingers starred Seth Green
and garnered over a BILLION media impressions. Attendees at
his 3DX Film Festival in Singapore, and Hong Kong 3D Film
Festival included the CEO’s of DISNEY, DREAM WORKS, and
FOX. His show “FIRST IN” followed the lives of Firefighters in
Compton, and premiered on the BET Network two seasons ago.

Preston Holmes is an industry veteran with 30 years experience as a producer, production
manager and assistant director on feature films, television movies and documentaries. His
production experience runs the gamut from studio features to lower budgeted independent
productions shot on locations ranging from Harlem and South Central to Egypt and Saudi
Arabia.
Preston eventually joined Spike Lee’s production team and helped turn out such hits as “Do
The Right Thing”, “Mo Betta Blues” and “Jungle Fever”. He has since gone on to Produce or
Co-Produce films with some of today’s most outstanding African-American filmmakers;
“Juice” with Ernest Dickerson, “Malcolm X” and “Crooklyn” with Spike Lee and “New Jack
City”, “Posse” and “Panther” with Mario Van Peebles.
In 1992 Preston relocated to Los Angeles to head up Def Pictures for Russell Simmons and
Stan Lathan and Polygram Pictures. While at Def, Preston developed and served as
Executive Producer for the films “Gridlock’d” and “Def Jam’s How to be a Player”. In 2000,
Preston also produced the award winning television movie “Boycott”, starring Jeffrey
Wright and directed by Clark Johnson for HBO Films with whom he is currently developing
a film on the life of African-American movie pioneer Oscar Micheaux.
Preston also produced the Academy Award nominated documentary “Tupac
Ressurection” for MTV Films and Amaru Entertainment, which was released
theatrically in 2004. Also in 2004, Preston produced “Sucker Free City”, a movie for
Showtime and “She Hate Me”, a feature film, for Sony Classics which were both directed by
Spike Lee. Also in the summer of 2004 Preston was Associate Producer on “Hustle & Flow”,
an independent feature produced by John Singleton and Stephanie Allain, shot on location
in Memphis, TN.

“SOMETHING NEW” - starring Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker; “ILLEGAL
TENDER” – written and directed by Franc. Reyes and produced by John Singleton; and as Producer of the film “WAIST DEEP”,
with Tyrese Gibson and Meagan Goode, also for Focus Features.
In 2010 Holmes was also Executive Producer/Line Producer on the Lionsgate film, WE THE PEEPLES with Keri Washington
and Craig Robinson and Line Producer on the ESPN, 30 for 30 documentary, ONE NIGHT IN VEGAS about the friendship of
Tupac and Mike Tyson, written and directed by Reggie Rock-Bythewood. Most recently, Holmes served as Executive Producer
on the Universal Pictures release of the film THE BEST MAN HOLIDAY.

High quality, moderately budgeted urban films, are especially sought after by worldwide buyers; and the willingness of major stars and directors
to work within this budget range has been fueled over recent years by major studios’ wholesale abandonment of internally produced films of this
size and scale. The corporate conglomeration of Hollywood has dictated the production of moderately budgeted films to independent production
companies. The average major studio film budget for 2009 exceeded $100 million, according to the Motion Picture Association of America
(MPAA). It is a compelling opportunity for first class producers. It is a calculated strategy to produce a $15M -$20M, star-driven feature film
with an emphasis on minimizing risks for equity stake-holders, maximizing short term returns, and building long term catalog value.

The motion picture industry is highly competitive, with much of a film's success depending on the skill of its
distribution strategy. As independent producers with a privately funded, high-quality product, the Production
Entity is ideally positioned to negotiate with major distributors for the distribution and wide release of “7 Dayz”
It is the goal of the producers of Coup to do “output” distribution deals with selected studios, in order to control
finances and creativity that are commonly problematic through the studio system. With this distribution
strategy in place, the producers and financiers have control over accounting, production, and the creative
aspects of the film, all the while harnessing the well established studio system’s distribution machine.
