Jesus tells his disciples that he is the true vine and God is the vinedresser. Branches that remain connected to the vine will bear much fruit, but branches that do not remain connected will wither and be burned. Jesus calls his disciples to remain connected to him through faith so that they may bear fruit and bring glory to God through their love for one another.
Jesus is the True Vine and we are the branches. The Father, as Vinedresser, has a purpose and expectations for each of us: we must bear fruit, abide in him and love one another.
Based on John 15:1-11. Jesus reminds his disciples that we must be rooted in him as the source of our identity and purpose. Most of the time our faith is merely a branch on an already overwhelmed life.

8th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Liturgical Year A)ruth (Malta)
I've enjoyed preparing this and love the message God is giving us this Sunday. I Hope that all those who see it will like it :-) On a seperate note: all pictures remain property of their rightful owners.
God has created so MANY MANY MANY beautiful animals and this presentation may be used to help children learn names and appreciate better the beauty of nature around us :-) God bless all those who will see/make use of it. (pictures were found on the internet)
The love of God for each one of us has no limit - Mercy is given to ALL and ANYONE!
- may we seek it and may those who fear approach: those are the ones to whom God gives mercy with even more abundance: for they are humble.
I LOVE this Sunday's readings. - I don't know what it is with Mass readings BUT each Sunday they seem to be just PERFECT in the message they give. I pray that all of those who are going through hard times may see that Christ is indeed with us. May the Peace of Jesus reign always in our hearts - but more especially in the hearts of those who are troubled or hurt.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

14. Anyone who does not remain in Me is like a branch that has been thrown away; he withers. These branches are collected and thrown into the fire and burnt.
15. If you remain in Me and My words in you, you may ask whatever you want and it will be given to you.
16. By this is My Father glorified: that you bear much fruit and become My disciples.” the fruit: our love for each other!
17. The Word of God! Praise be to Christ! (Pictures found on the net)
