5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian pop punk band formed in 2011 in Sydney. The band consists of Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin. They gained popularity by posting cover songs on YouTube. In 2013, they began supporting One Direction on their worldwide tour.
