Two bodies found in New York in 1995 were identified in 2011 through DNA testing as Marcia Honsch and her daughter Elizabeth Honsch. They had been shot and their bodies decomposed. Investigators initially believed the cases were unrelated because one body was found in Tolland State Forest and the other in New Britain wrapped in plastic. However, in 2009 they determined the cases were connected. The DNA results and a missing persons report eventually led police to identify the victims as Marcia and Elizabeth Honsch, who had been murdered by their husband/father Robert Honsch in October 1995.
