Subj: REOCMMENDATION CONCERNING THE APPLICATION FOR
SPECIAL IMMIGATION STATUS IN THE CASE OF INTERPRETER ALI
ADNAN ALI
Ref: (a) Title X, section 1059 of public law 109-163
1. I enthusiastically recommend Ali Adnan Ali for special immigrant status to
the United States.
2. Ali is a 19 years old man who has worked for the coalition forces since April
2006. He has participated in numerous patrols throughout the Triad and
personally assisted my Training team for the past two months. He is on call 24
hours a day and easily works 18 of them. Along with other staff he is key to
our success as a transition team.
3. It is obvious that Ali is in danger on a daily basis simply by working in this
environment. I must add that he faces additional danger when he returns to his
home in southern Iraq. There he is not able to venture away from his home for
fear of violence to himself based on his work for us. Unlike many of our
fellow countrymen who have been born into citizenship or simply crossed an
ocean or geographical barrier to enter our nation, Ali has faced danger both to
himself always proven a good addition to the nation.
4. I wholeheartedly support Ali Adnan Ali's application for special immigrant
status.
