Over the past 25 months, 30-year fixed rate mortgages have fluctuated from a high of 5.25% to a low of 3.25%, according to a report from Freddie Mac. Rates dropped steadily from January to November 2020 but have risen since then, reaching a peak of 4.46% in April 2022 before declining slightly over the summer.
