3 Ways to Give
Yourself Instant
Confidence

Tips for boosting confidence, quickly
We all need a confidence boost from
time to time ……
…. before a meeting, sales pitch or
speaking slot perhaps.
Maybe even just to get us through
the day.
So here are my top 3 tips for giving
yourself a quick and easy confidence
boost.
Whenever and wherever you need it.
But first the science….
The amygdala is deep in our ancient
brain.
Its job is to watch out for threats and
keep us safe.
It triggers the fight, flight, freeze
response.
And it’s completely illogical.
When we’re afraid, or not confident,
the amygdala’s in charge.
To boost confidence you need to
calm it down. How? Read on.
Tip 1: act normal
Breathe, take a sip of water, pick
up a pen.
Normal actions tell the amygdala
that everything’s OK.
There’s time to breathe, drink or
write.
There’s nothing to worry about.
Just calm down.
Instantly better!
Tip 2: think of your successes
Things you’ve achieved through hard
work and determination.
Qualifications, promotions,
successes, awards, recognition.
Or climbing Kilimanjaro, buying your
first car, arranging a surprise party.
Whatever works.
You’ll stand taller, your handshake
will be firmer and you’ll smile more.
It works, I promise.
Tip 3: stop mind-reading
You react to the stories you tell
yourself, not what’s happening.
The guy who looks bored may be
thinking deeply about something.
The woman staring out of the
window may be remembering
something.
You don’t know what they’re
thinking.
So assume it’s something good.
Or funny, that works too.
Thanks for watching!
I appreciate your taking the time.
I help professionals and business owners
become consistently confident.
Because it’s in a way that’s right for them they
don’t feel arrogant or obnoxious.
It’s them, but the best them.
So they feel valued, they’re happier and even
more successful.
If that sounds good give
me a call.
