1. The Three (equally important) Priorities
of working through breastfeeding
problems
Ideally babies can nurse at the breast, not make a big deal out of
it, gain weight and grow. When that is not the case however:
Feed Baby Extra
Preferably with your own milk at the breast when available.
Protect Production
Move extra milk out of the breast through pumping and/ or hand expression.
Preserve Breastfeeding Relationship
Frequent skin to skin keeps the breast "on baby's mind" and helps production.
