This document provides an offensive playbook for the Lincoln Football team in 2010. It includes diagrams and explanations of passing zones, the quarterback's pre-snap process, various passing concepts like quick passes, vertical routes, and read progressions. Specific plays and formations are shown using stick figures and explanations of each receiver's route.
This document provides play calls and strategies for a quick passing game. It describes 10 plays - Quick Smash, Out Dig, Smash, Slant Cross, Zip Slant, Flat Hitch, Flare Slant, Cross Zip, Wheel Slant - and the reads and throws against different coverages, particularly focusing on exploiting holes left by flat defenders. The goal is to identify the open receiver based on the flat defender's movement or position.
Smash is a versatile passing concept for the Huntington Highlanders' offensive playbook in 2009. It is designed to create a dilemma for flat defenders in Cover 2 and Cover 3 defenses. The concept uses 2 or 3 receivers, with variations that can be game planned. The #1 receiver runs a 3-5 yard hitch. The #2 receiver runs a 10-15 yard corner or flag route. The #3 receiver, if used, runs a go route down the hash or a post to attack over rotating zones. The quarterback is instructed to read the hitch first, then the corner route, checking down if needed.
The document provides coaching points for an inside zone running play from a balanced formation with motion. It discusses the formation, blocking assignments and rules, and responsibilities of the quarterback, running back, and offensive linemen. The offensive linemen follow rules to determine if they block the down lineman or linebacker based on whether they are covered or uncovered. The running back is instructed to make a single cut then get upfield at full speed following reads of the defensive linemen's helmets.
The document discusses different types of defensive coverages in football including Cover 3, Cover 2, Cover 4, Cover 1, and Cover 0. For each coverage, it identifies the basic alignment of defensive backs, weaknesses of the coverage, and recommendations for how to attack the coverage with certain pass routes.
This document outlines Todd Ekart's defensive scheme as the defensive coordinator for Beatrice High School. It discusses moving from a 4-2-5 defense to a 3-4 defense to better match personnel and counter modern offensive schemes. It provides details on base alignments, coverages, and adjustments for both defenses. It also describes Ekart's weekly practice schedule for installing and refining the defensive game plan against upcoming opponents with an emphasis on repetition.
This document discusses defensive schemes to defend against the spread offense. It outlines different coverage options like cover 3, cover 1 (man free), cover 4 (quarters), and man coverage. It provides diagrams showing how the defensive players align and responsibilities in shotgun spread formations with receivers in trips, twins, empty sets, and against the run. The goal is to force the quarterback into mistakes by disguising coverages and maintaining gap integrity against the run.
The Robber defense utilizes a 3-3 alignment with linebackers and cornerbacks aligned 5-7 yards from the line of scrimmage. The middle linebacker and safety are responsible for maintaining balance by keying the center and adjusting to cover receivers crossing to the opposite side. While the flats and weak seam are vulnerable, the Robber defense strongly discourages flooding by stacking defenders in the middle of the field.

The document discusses the Severe Angle Blocking (SAB) blocking scheme. SAB is an aggressive angle blocking scheme designed to collapse the defense by having blockers attack at a 30-degree angle in unison. It gives blockers leverage and picks up blists and stunts. The key elements of SAB are exploding off the line of scrimmage, maintaining proper footwork and hat/shoulder placement, and driving defenders down an imaginary track while blocking with arms, hands and shoulders. Various blocking rules, adjustments, and examples of SAB schemes like Power, Counter, and Trap are provided.
The document provides an overview of Urban Meyer's Utah spread offense, including explanations of formations, blocking schemes, run plays, pass plays, and protections. Key concepts covered are the zone read, trap, and option running plays as well as coverages, routes, and pass protections in the short to intermediate passing game. Diagrams illustrate plays from various formations against different defensive fronts.
1) The document outlines zone blocking techniques for an offensive line, including initial steps, blocking areas rather than defenders, and various blocking techniques like combo blocks and traps.
2) It recommends specific drills to practice zone blocking skills like first steps in a chute and working on blocks in unison using a sled or bags.
3) The drills are meant to replicate the skills needed in games and make blocking more realistic by using defenders rather than bags in certain drills.

Rules are outlined for practices, and techniques are described for stances, blocks, and working in sync on double teams.
The document discusses various pass protection schemes used by offensive lines, including big on big protection, zone blocking concepts, and protections against blitzes. It explains fundamentals like identifying threats, footwork for inside/outside moves, and communicating calls for slide/turnback protections. The key is working together as a unit to account for all rushers through combinations of man and zone blocks while keeping a hot read for any uncovered blitzers.
1) Players A and B set the defensive line and do not reshuffle once set, with A communicating their role and defending inside runners off 9 while B communicates their role to 9 and defends 9 and potential forward runners.
2) C acts as the decision maker, communicating their role and calling for the defense to spread if the attack draws multiple defenders.
3) Numbers 1, 2, and 3 push out from C if late to the line and communicate their roles, defending their assigned channels or drifting depending on the attack.
The document provides an overview of the Cover 2 defense, including why it is used, basic terminology, techniques for cornerbacks and safeties, and how the defensive line is crucial to its success. It discusses how Cover 2 aims to cover all field zones pre-snap, control the short passing game, and force offenses into longer passes. Key terms like "In/In/In" and "Stretch/Stretch/Stretch" are explained. The document emphasizes that winning battles up front with the defensive line is essential, as they must defeat blockers to apply pressure.
The document provides principles for attack and defense in rugby. For attack, it emphasizes attacking with depth and pace, passing early to move the ball wide, and having defined roles for distributors, playmakers, strikers, and trailers. It also discusses principles of kicking to balance territory and possession. For defense, it stresses pressure, tackling, and poaching, defending against kicks, and having either a man-up or drifting defensive alignment depending on the situation.
A 2:2 hybrid defence uses 2 players in man defence and 2 in zone defence. It aims to stop frontal offences by closing down the driving and shooting lanes. Strengths include good coverage of hoops, passers, and driving lanes. Weaknesses include susceptibility to fast passes out wide and cuts from angles. Drills focus on chaser spacing and positioning, and having beaters exchange and press out to force turnovers.
The document provides play calls, formations, motions, and concepts for an offensive football playbook. It includes trio, triple, and motion plays like Trio Florida, Trio Xerox, and Dolphin; screen plays like 37 and Pro Money 5; and special plays like Fight Song and Money 5. It also lists protections, situations to practice, and tips for different positions on executing the plays.
The Man Zone defense uses the center as a "key" to determine whether to switch between its base balanced coverage and a "flood" coverage. It maintains a 1:1 defender to receiver ratio by having defenders switch coverage responsibilities as needed. Defenders start in man coverage and switch to zone coverage on the "flood" side if the center indicates a strong side flood, otherwise they remain in man coverage. The goal is to eliminate passing lanes and force the quarterback to throw into tight coverage.

Additional plays involving traps, draws, and isolations are covered in the 300 series. Cadence and play calling procedures are also outlined to dictate tempo and make changes at the line of scrimmage using color codes. The document aims to provide a multiple option system to score points and dictate terms to opponents.
The document discusses strategies for a flag football offense against zone defenses. It proposes running deep routes to stretch the defense ("Mike"), which could lead to open spaces underneath for short passes and QB runs. Specific plays are outlined like "Eights" against 3-2 zone and "Rocket" against man coverage. Mixing in run plays like "Speed" is suggested if the defense shifts. The goal is to exploit mismatches created by having receivers run routes to different vertical levels than the number of zones.

25 base defense
1. 25 D
Defense used against spread gun
teams with a weak running game.
Or
Defense has a limit on D-Line
players.
Roldan Leyba, Satellite
HS. Satellite Beach , FL.
2. WHY
• Kills inside run game, forces outside run by RB and QB.
• Allows the use of Cover 3,4 and 2.
• Allows 8 Defenders in Coverage
• Allows Inside Stunts we call STICKS and Heavy Outside Blitz
combinations, and Fire Zone against 50-60 fronts that will
over- whelm the Offensive Line.
• Forces RB in protection thus only 4 receivers can be used.
• Mixes well with Base 43 and 34 Defense fronts.
• Overloads field side Hash play without sacrificing and
unbalancing the Defense front 7 or 8
• Easy install with three looks in the front.
3. Rules
• Stay or Go Rule. OLB’s can attack or stay on
outside to read play. If Team runs Zone read
they read the QB. If team runs a pitch option
they have RB.
• Pick up #4.(RB) Strong and Will always pick up
that RB who slides to lower flat even if Blitz
call is on.
• Trip receivers always check to our base Cover
21 call. Unless we have practiced another
cover.
4. Personnel
• Nose- must be the best and strongest D-Lineman
• Tackle- Must be the fastest D-Lineman
• Rifle-Strong Safety type and aggressive
• Strong- outside linebacker who can hit and play TE 1 on 1. Will
always have stay or go rule, pick up Number 4.
• Buck- Agile Middle-line backer who can play hole coverage.
• Mike a good strong Middle-linebacker who loves to blitz.
• Will- a DE type who can play flat coverage and can read through
and Key RB and QB
• Wolf Corner/Corner can play cover2 read 1 to 2 or 1 to QB
• SS can play 1 0n 1 with Slot and play Cov 2 and able to come up and
force.
• FS has to cover hash to hash easy in Cov 3.
5. Tackle and Nose play.
• The Nose has to be able to 2 Gap read and get off
his Man and make inside tackles.
• The Tackle has the speed to force the blocking
scheme and be the inside rush man.
• They will only line up mid field 3 tech Outside
shoulder of Guards or 2tech Head up on
Guards(playing the hash) Nose will Line up on
defense Head up on Center and play two gap.
• With Tackle at 3 tech to field.
• Calls are. Right Slant –Left Slant- Shoot- and
Trash Bag are the Line calls.
6. Line call when Head UP only.
• Slant right- The Nose and Tackle will slant to right.
Nose will play Gap and over- which is play the gap at
1 Yard depth and play the next gap outside.
• The Tackle will pass rush his Gap

and Mike blitz.

Any 25 call Blitz, Stick or Fire Zone can be called.
9. SHOOT Call is used to maximize Pass
rush. This can be called on outside
shoulder, hit the gap and go.
• Can run Blitz, Fire Zone .
• (please see illustrations on next slides.)
• The alignment Of the Mike cause a forced blocking scheme
and helps in the pass rush, freeing one rusher. The only
adjustment is keeping the RB in for protection. ( This can
open a screen to weak side) The adjustment is Strong takes TE
man and Buck spies RB. Thus Screen heavy teams have a real
problem with defense.

29. Fire Zone, Blitz and Sticks.
• 3 Plus 1 should always be the rush. Seeing that only three are rushing and the
Nose is controlling.
• 3 plus 2 is the best pressure package.
• Using the Strong and Will in Fire Zone with SS and Rifle will stretch the offensive
lines capability and make them keep a RB as a protector.
• Sticks will allow the inside pass rush to collapse pockets quickly. This is a great way
to play a pass heavy offense with a less mobile QB.
• Remember you can't defend everything but you can control what and when you
give offenses and cause them to alter and force the blocking patterns where it
benefits the defense.
• Lastly make your own front attacks that work for a particular opponent, my
philosophy is take away their 10 best plays and make them use what they are not
best suited for.
