Location: The 9-hole par 36 Resort Course is situated within the idyllic grounds of
the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa. The clubhouse based at Club Joumana
overlooks the Marina and first tee.
The Course: The Resort Course is both scenically stunning and a fair and exciting
challenge to any level of player. Each hole is uniquely landscaped with
exotic trees, shrubs, wooden gazebos and panoramic views of the
Arabian Gulf. Peacocks, guinea fowl and partridges freely roam the
course. The availability of four tees creates a different aspect and
playability of each hole and the opportunity to play an 18-hole round.
Arranged on different elevations, the course features a large central
saltwater lake that comes into play on five holes. Bermuda grass greens
and fairways are well manicured and built to championship standard.
Practice Facilities: Every aspect of the game can be practised at the Old Stables driving
range. All the areas are floodlit and arranged on Bermuda grass. Driving
range with bunkers and target greens. Private range for golf instruction.
27-hole putting green. Indoor air-conditioned swing room featuring the
latest GASP Video Swing Analysis System.
Golf Academy Lessons are available from dedicated, experienced PGA qualified
Instruction: professionals. A comprehensive range of instructional programmes for
the beginner, intermediate or advanced player may be taken individually
or in groups.

Club Hire: Quality sets of Callaway men’s and ladies clubs are available for the
course. Juniors and range clubs are also available. Sharing of sets
is not permitted. Guests are liable for the repair costs of any
equipment damage.
Bag Storage: Hotel guests’ bags may be stored overnight on request.
Ride or Walk: Players may ride or walk the course. Electric carts and pull trolleys are
available for hire. Electric carts are for players only and charged per seat,
driven at own risk and available to drive for persons above the age of
14 years. Guests are liable for the repair costs of any cart damage.
Standard of Play: • The Resort Course is only available to golfers with official handicap
certificates i.e. maximum 28 (gentlemen) and maximum
45 (ladies).
• Access to the course will be considered for golfers with a playing
certificate, provided they are accompanied by a golfer with a
handicap who will be responsible for maintaining correct speed of
play and etiquette to ensure enjoyment for all course users.
• Beginners are not permitted to use the golf course but are welcome
to take lessons or use the practice facilities.
Speed of Play: Players are requested to play at a speed that ensures enjoyment for all
other players. To facilitate the flow of play, players will be requested to
form four-ball tee time groups.
Dress: Appropriate golf attire is required for all players at all times. Spikeless
or soft spike shoes must be worn. Men’s and ladies shoes are available
for hire.
Food and Beverage: Club Joumana Sports Café – the concept combines fun, classic favourites
and traditional pub fare.
Oasis Lodge – while water is available on most tees, the Oasis Lodge is
located on the 4th tee and offers a selection of food and beverage.
Restroom facilities are also available.
Pro Shop: High quality merchandise from some of the leading suppliers of golf,
leisure and sportswear are available together with branded gifts
and mementoes.
Jebel Ali Golf Resort & The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa Challenge Match was held on the
Spa Challenge Match: Resort Course between 1998 and 2006 and was the annual curtain raiser
for the European Tour Event, the Dubai Desert Classic. The 9-hole match
features some of the world’s top golf stars who compete in the Desert
Classic each year. The following stars have all competed in the Challenge
Match at the Resort Course: Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Mark O’ Meara,
Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn, Padraig Harrington, Nick Faldo,
Greg Norman, Jose Maria Olazabal, Steve Ballesteros, Ian Woosman,
Lee Westwood, Justin Leonard, Paul Lawrie and Shingo Katayama.

Spectators: Are not normally permitted unless with prior permission and at the
discretion of the Golf Director.
Tee Times: Tee time groups may be added at any time to facilitate other players
and the speed of play.

should provide information on handicap, whether playing 9 or 18 holes,
