This document discusses two sketches by Gao Jianfu. The first sketch includes images from paintings by Mei Qing and Ming dynasty painters that Gao copied to study different artists' techniques. The second sketch contains detailed notes in small characters describing the colors used for insects, flowers, and leaves as a reference for Gao's own practice. Making notes was a common method that Chinese painters like Ren Bonian and Deng Fen also used to record techniques while studying art.
