My name is Mumba Makumba. I am the Documentation and Information Systems Manager at the Patents and Companies Registration Office in Zambia. Ladies and Gentlemen, Its my humble honor to present to you on behalf of the Zambian Delegation ‘THE ZAMBIAN EXPERIENCE’ of Names in Corporate Registries The presentation should take about 15 Minutes in which I will briefly outline why we carry out NAME CLEARANCE, NAMES we cannot register and end with guidelines we follow to approve names
PACRO is former Department of the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry, it was hived off from mainstream civil service in 1998 as a way of reducing the size of the civil service in order to improve on service delivery to the public. PACRO operates as semi-autonomous agency without any financial subvention from government. It has been doing so for the past 12 years.
Its an affirmation of our commitment to essential values & aspirations. Our efforts are aimed at ensuring that we continually strive to improve our service provision at every level, thereby contributing positively to Governments policy of providing a conducive environment for investment in Zambia
