ACCIDENT  SICKNESS COVER

You may be built like a bungalow and harder than Chinese algebra, but there’s
no shame in signing up for world-class healthcare, just in case something
should happen. iris offers you premium cover through Bupa Healthcare once
you have successfully completed your probation. Premiums are paid on
your behalf by iris and this is a taxable benefit that offers:

•   24-hour phone access to health advice from qualified Bupa nurses
•   a choice of up to 35,000 Bupa recognised consultants
•   convenient appointments, even during evenings and weekends
•   access to the latest drugs and treatment, before they are widely available
•   clean, comfy rooms in Bupa accredited hospitals
•   award-winning cancer cover and access to the Bupa accredited network
    of specialist centres

When your GP refers you for any type of consultation or treatment, explain
that you are a Bupa member and ask to be referred to a Bupa consultant or
practitioner. You can then call Bupa 24/7 on 0845 6090 444 and they will
advise you of the next steps.

To activate your membership you will need to get a form from Payroll at iris.
You can also add family members at a small extra cost. Just ask Payroll for
more information.

iris also automatically gives you excellent Group Income Protection at absolutely
no cost. If you are too sick or too injured to work, then we will continue to
pay you full pay for 6 weeks, followed by half pay for another 6 weeks. If after
26 weeks you are still unable to come to work, we will pay out 50% of your

Ride2Work Scheme

There are two ways of getting a new bike. You can either speak to
Bermondsey Dave or you can take advantage of our partnership
with Evans Cycles. We take part in the Government’s Ride2Work
scheme. It’s a form of salary swap, which means that by reducing
your gross salary in exchange for a non-cash benefit – in this case
buying a new bike and cycling accessories – you can take advantage
of savings of up to 50% on retail prices and spread the cost over
12 months. The benefits of this are:

•   huge savings on the cost of a new bike and equipment
•   massive choice of quality products with stores nationwide
•   spread the cost over 12 months through your salary

We’ve never paid full whack for anything, and neither should you.
iris will sort you out with two great discount cards.

tastecard is the UK’s largest diners’ club with over 500,000
members. It gets you 50% off your total food bill (even for
groups) or 2-for-1 meals (across all courses) at over 5,500
restaurants throughout the UK. On top of that, iris will give
you an unbelievable discount on annual membership,
at £29.95 for the whole year (normally £69.95).

The Buzz Card is the unique local rewards card for anyone

SQUADS

iris may be the only place in England that actively encourages you to
join a gang. We like to make work fun so we always take time out
to get together and enjoy the ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos that we’re
famous for. To do this, we’ve put together a few squads
that you can get involved in:

• Smile Squad: for all things fun, whether it’s pumpkin carving at
  
  Halloween, or ice creams in the summer – there’s something for
  everyone to smile about.
• Lash Squad: does what it says on the tin. Gets you lashed
  
  – whether it’s at the summer or Christmas forum, or wearing
  lederhosen and drinking German beers with your pals. Our events
  get iris socialising outside of the office environment.

Maternity

No matter who the father is, the family will take care of you. iris gives
all mums-to-be over and above the statutory maternity benefits.
We offer enhanced maternity pay as follows:

• 1-3 yrs service: 8 weeks’ full pay
• 3-5 yrs service: 12 weeks’ full pay
  
• 5 yrs +: 16 weeks’ full pay

PATERNITY

Having a baby? We’re the daddy when it comes to paternity.
New dads can expect their statutory rights of paternity
pay and leave providing they meet the relevant conditions
of entitlement. iris will also enhance the first 2 weeks of
paternity leave to full pay. To discuss this further, please
see the People Team.

CHILDCARE

Kids. Wouldn’t swap them for the world. They can be bloody
expensive though. If you have children under 16 years old,
you could be saving hundreds of pounds a year on your
childcare costs with Computershare Voucher Services.
The vouchers can be used to pay for registered childcare,
including nurseries, nannies, childminders, au pairs, out
of school clubs and holiday schemes/camps. It’s done as
part of a salary exchange – iris deduct a certain amount
from your salary each month and as a tax payer you will
benefit from these being exempt from tax and NI.

To start saving on your childcare, simply call Computershare
Voucher Services on 0845 002 1111 and quote scheme
number 0000313728 or speak to Payroll here at iris.

Holiday

When you work and play as hard as we do, you’ll need a couple
of well-earned weeks of rehab. That’s why we offer the following
holiday benefits:

•  0 days basic, plus bank holidays, plus 3-4 days between
  2
  Christmas and New Year
• a day off for your birthday to be taken anytime that week
• an extra day each year when you’ve worked with us 2,
  
  3 and 4 years (capped at 23 days)
• the option of buying an extra 5 days’ holiday per year

When you have worked at iris for 5 calendar years, you have the
option to take a sabbatical – up to 3 months of unpaid leave.
This is a great opportunity to go travelling or to take a break from
work with the assurance that your job will still be waiting for
you when you return.

Independent Financial Advisor
You might win the lottery, get a fancy motor, bunk up with a supermodel
and spend the rest of your days necking champers in Malaga. On the
other hand you might not. So, it’s good to know iris provides free access
to a qualified, Independent Financial Advisor to help you out with all your
financial queries. He is at our office at least one day a week and can
assist you with mortgage, pension and loan advice amongst other things.

Your mate gets a job, you get a bung. Lovely. If there’s anyone you have

eligible to join.

The scheme, provided by Scottish Life, is administered by our
IFA, Grayside Limited, and is set up to use the Salary Exchange
system. iris have agreed that all of the savings provided through
this system will be passed on to you to enhance your pension.
This effectively increases the value of the sum invested into
your pension plan by a minimum of 17.7% and can be as high
as 30% depending on your current salary level.

Accident Sickness cover | 01 ACCIDENT SICKNESS COVER You may be built like a bungalow and harder than Chinese algebra, but there’s no shame in signing up for world-class healthcare, just in case something should happen. iris offers you premium cover through Bupa Healthcare once you have successfully completed your probation. Premiums are paid on your behalf by iris and this is a taxable benefit that offers: • 24-hour phone access to health advice from qualified Bupa nurses • a choice of up to 35,000 Bupa recognised consultants • convenient appointments, even during evenings and weekends • access to the latest drugs and treatment, before they are widely available • clean, comfy rooms in Bupa accredited hospitals • award-winning cancer cover and access to the Bupa accredited network of specialist centres When your GP refers you for any type of consultation or treatment, explain that you are a Bupa member and ask to be referred to a Bupa consultant or practitioner. You can then call Bupa 24/7 on 0845 6090 444 and they will advise you of the next steps. To activate your membership you will need to get a form from Payroll at iris. You can also add family members at a small extra cost. Just ask Payroll for more information. iris also automatically gives you excellent Group Income Protection at absolutely no cost. If you are too sick or too injured to work, then we will continue to pay you full pay for 6 weeks, followed by half pay for another 6 weeks.   • 8. Ride2Work scheme | 05 Ride2Work Scheme There are two ways of getting a new bike. You can either speak to Bermondsey Dave or you can take advantage of our partnership with Evans Cycles. We take part in the Government’s Ride2Work scheme. It’s a form of salary swap, which means that by reducing your gross salary in exchange for a non-cash benefit – in this case buying a new bike and cycling accessories – you can take advantage of savings of up to 50% on retail prices and spread the cost over 12 months. We like to make work fun so we always take time out to get together and enjoy the ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos that we’re famous for. To do this, we’ve put together a few squads that you can get involved in: • Smile Squad: for all things fun, whether it’s pumpkin carving at Halloween, or ice creams in the summer – there’s something for everyone to smile about. • Lash Squad: does what it says on the tin.   • 13. Maternity | 10 Maternity No matter who the father is, the family will take care of you. iris gives all mums-to-be over and above the statutory maternity benefits. New dads can expect their statutory rights of paternity pay and leave providing they meet the relevant conditions of entitlement. iris will also enhance the first 2 weeks of paternity leave to full pay.   • 15. Childcare | 12 CHILDCARE Kids. Wouldn’t swap them for the world. They can be bloody expensive though. If you have children under 16 years old, you could be saving hundreds of pounds a year on your childcare costs with Computershare Voucher Services. The vouchers can be used to pay for registered childcare, including nurseries, nannies, childminders, au pairs, out of school clubs and holiday schemes/camps. It’s done as part of a salary exchange – iris deduct a certain amount from your salary each month and as a tax payer you will benefit from these being exempt from tax and NI.   • 17. Holiday | 14 Holiday When you work and play as hard as we do, you’ll need a couple of well-earned weeks of rehab. That’s why we offer the following holiday benefits: • 0 days basic, plus bank holidays, plus 3-4 days between 2 Christmas and New Year • a day off for your birthday to be taken anytime that week • an extra day each year when you’ve worked with us 2, 3 and 4 years (capped at 23 days) • the option of buying an extra 5 days’ holiday per year When you have worked at iris for 5 calendar years, you have the option to take a sabbatical – up to 3 months of unpaid leave.
