2.  The use of something for a purpose other than
its original intended used. Repurposing an item
can be done by modifying it to fit a new use, or
by using the item as is in a new way.
 Repurposing is essentially a form of recycling.
Instead of throwing an item away, an individual
or business finds a new use for it. This can be a
cost-effective strategy, since items that can be
used instead of discarded prevent a
household/business from having to purchase
new, possibly expensive items.

3.  A ReStore is a discount department store, run by
Habitat for Humanity. Funds from the sale of
donated items are used to change lives, “One Home
At a Time“.
 The ReStore accepts donations of new and used
building materials, furniture, and other items. Then
sells them to the public at discounted prices.
 All the profits go to the Habitat Affiliate to build
homes for families in need.
 There are over 850 ReStores across North America.
Habitat provides a great way to keep reusable
materials out of the waste streams and landfills, while
providing funding for Habitat’s work.

communities, can experience God’s love, and is able to grow
into all that God intends.
 Our Mission:
 Using the resources God has given us to eliminate poverty
housing in Northwest Wisconsin and beyond.
 About WRHfH:
 WRHfH is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization
operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love
into action by building homes, communities and hope.
WRHfH is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing
locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating
and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just
housing policies; and by providing training and access to
resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
