Department of Physics and Astronomy,
Michigan State University, East Lansing MI
Under supervision of Prof. Michael F. Thorpe
Sep. 1995 - June.1997 M.S. in Physics, (Diploma with Honors),

Teaching Experience
Years 1996-1997.
While finishing my master’s degree in Russia I taught for a year physics in the middle school and
Olympiad-type problem solving (physics) for selected high school pupils.
Years 1998-2000.
A grader for the graduate courses in electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, and condensed
matter physics. For one semester I taught a laboratory course in mechanics and
thermodynamics for undergraduates.
I also provided consulting for undergraduate students in a computer based course.
Years 2004-2008.
It was the time when I was starting to do research in the field of supercooled liquids and the
glass transition. It is a very old area in physics and while learning basics I was making many
presentations based on the research papers at the group meetings.
