MISSION
The purpose of the Texas Arts and Crafts Educational Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3
organization, is to promote appreciation of fine arts and craft skills and create educational
opportunities in the visual and creative arts in the State of Texas.
FAIR VISION STATEMENT
The Official Texas State Arts & Crafts Fair is known as the premier arts and crafts event,
showcasing the best juried original works for exhibit and sale by Texas Artisans. The Fair offers
educational opportunities in a safe, friendly, family environment.
TACEF operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. TACEF was incorporated in 1972 and has
produced 38 Texas State Arts & Crafts Fairs.

The State of Texas has recognized our Fair as the Official Texas State Arts & Crafts Fair, so our
marketing is designed to advertise to the entire state of Texas.
Our marketing products showcase a fun family oriented weekend, a weekend in Kerrville filled with
music, art related educational activities, art demonstrations, food, fine arts & crafts to potential
attendees. We market to potential attendees in the following manner:

Press Releases were sent once a week for 12 weeks prior to the Fair to 735 printed publications in
Texas including newspapers, emphasizing different features of the Fair as well as featured artists.
A generic press release was also sent to all exhibitors for release in their area newspapers.

and information highlighting the Fair and the Foundation.

information highlighting the Fair and the Foundation.

11. Fair Programs
Programs are distributed at the information booth, the Fair office and both entrance gates of the
fair to all attendees.
