1. Avail Cab service: whenever you getcab service, try to avail this. It’s much less
than booking a car.
My Personalexperience: - we booked app cab in Bhubaneswar, Vizag etc.. It’snow
available in all the metro cities in India. First, we sorted outour destination and
then we booked the cab, service partby part. It will save my bucksa lot. There is
no other cost like the cost of a driver’sfood, tips, parking charge etc.
2. Bookhotel with a generator, water purifier and room service.
3. Get a meal from outside: Do noteat food from the hotel, try to eat from the
outside. It will drastically reduce your food cost.
4. Bookthe hotel first: After fixing your traveldestination, I should book the hotel
first. Because after reaching the destination then searching for hotels with
luggage it’s a very hectic job. Thatmoment it’s very difficult to find it and do not
compare to others, and most of the time you have to pay more.
My Personal experience: – This happensto me in Digha and Murshidabad.

3. 5. Do shopping at register shop like Govt shops. Register shop. You will get the
quality productsfrom there.
6. Travel in off season: I prefer these tricks. That time hotel rents are low, and you
can bargain atthe time of car booking, shopping, hotelbooking and most
importantall visiting spots are low crowded.
7. Includebreakfast: Many hotels offer breakfastwithoutextra cost. Don’tmiss
this offer.
8. BookHoliday home or Homestay: The room rentfor Holiday Homesis less than
the hotels. so try to stay at the company guesthouse or holiday homes.
9. Carry your cooking appliances: It’s very cost-effective. These will save your
snack'scost. Carry your cooking applianceslike tharmas(store hot or cold tea or
coffee or water), eclectic kettle or hitting cup (for making noodles, tea, coffee,
boiling egg etc.). Get those cooking appliancesthatare rechargeable or turnson
through electric.
My Personal experience: - I alwayscarry tharmasand the hitting cup for my baby.
10. Hungry?? don'tbuy food atthat time: these tips for all travellers. Carry own
dry fruits, chocolate bar, snacks, drinksand water etc. Because of the time of
hunger, these have to buy athigh prices.
11. Use public transport: alwaystry to use public transportfirst. It is very cost-
effective and money-saving tips.
My Personal experience:Purulia busstand to Ayodhay hilltop car booking fair is
800 butpublic busfare is 35 only. Darjeeling, there isso many share car going
from Siliguriwith just 150rs. If you book a car of your own it will take a minimum
of 1000 Rs. But it’s your choice (comfortcompromise with money).

4. 12. Note all the expense: it is another greattip for travel time money-saving plan.
If you note down all the expenditure, Then you can understand where to spend
and how much. And it is also useful for your nexttrip.
13. Avoid Deluxerooms: an Expensive room is not required for me. Because I use
the room, only for rest/sleeping purpose. So it will be fairly comfortable to get a
normalroom.
14. Talk to thelocal people: talk to the local people is the main information
resources. They could justsay exactly where the better optionsfor you. Where is
the low car rental, where good food is available at low prices, and all aboutthe
visiting spot etc.?
15. Travel with a group: Group travelling is essential for money saving while
travelling. It takesfewer car rentals. And group travelling is necessary for the time
of the package tour. And it’salso cost-effective in time of hotel room booking; you
can also take dormitory room with a cheap cost.
16. Grab theoffer: If you plan for the travel, so check all the offersand Book it
from where you getthe best offer. You can check your emailnotification, that
which company gave you the best offer.
17. Comparewith others: whenever you plan or think aboutthe travel do
compare with others. Which hotels give you an extra discount, which package
tour is more affordable, and atthe time of the car booking alwaysspeak with the
driver, ignore third party agent. Because the agenttakes a percentage from the
driver. I have my own experiencesin Shimla.
18. Don’t book a car for a long: Cars need not be booked for 2- 3 daysor longer at
the same time. Because After that you can get good choices. And in case of the

5. night staying for the driver they will include the extra charges. In any tourist
location, car facilities are easily available.
My personal experience:- In Shimla, we booked a car for the entire trip in Shimla
Manali they charge a huge because they also included the driver night stay cost
and the worstthing is, after 500 km driving next day he is not ready to go with our
plan, and we missed few places in Manali. But in Manali, there are lots of option
for transport. Also, keep in mind there are some placesthat you have to book your
car like Sikkim.
19. Share transport: if possible share vehicle with others. It is very useful for
money saving. When you share with your transportcostwill behalf. So think about
the trick.
My personal experience: - When I wentto BakkhaliI booked a car, and it will
charge 300 Rsthen we also talk with another family who is also going to Bakkhali,
and they are also interested for this trip and we share our booked car with them.
20. Travel with a baby?? I am travelling with my baby, When she was11 months,
I have been travelling with her. So alwayscarry your baby’sdiapers, allthe food,
which he/she eats and all the medicines, including prescription because if needed
any medicinescan be boughtfrom the spot.
