First Look for IT Professionals
Advancements in Manageability, Security, Deployment and Enduser Productivity
Built on the same foundation as Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista, the core architecture of
Windows 7 remains the same. Windows 7 is engineered to make managing a PC environment more
automated, controllable and efficient with tools and monitoring capabilities that are not available in the
Windows XP environment.
Join New Horizons Computer Learning Center of San Antonio as we take a First Look into Windows 7.
We will take an in-depth look at the basic fundamentals of Windows 7: performance, application
compatibility, device compatibility, reliability and security. Topics discussed will include:
Security and Control- The Windows 7 operating system delivers increased flexibility in
securing PCs and data. The number of operating system applications and tasks that require user
interaction with an elevation prompt are reduced while improving auditing and the User Account Control
(UAC) experience.
Networking and Sharing- Windows 7 helps end users be productive, regardless of where
they are or where the data they need resides. With improvements in search capabilities and Windows
DirectAccess, mobile users can access corporate resources when they are out of the office, thereby
enhancing productivity.
Troubleshooting and Support- Windows 7 helps make managing a PC environment more
automated, controllable, and efficient. An enhanced Windows Taskbar puts commonly used resources
within reach, and Control Panel enhancements, such as Action Center, provide a central place to go for
tasks and notifications associated with keeping the computer running smoothly.
Who Should Attend?
