        assassinated on November 22, 1963 in
        Dallas, Texas.
FROM 1963-1969...

Lyndon Johnson was president.

He took Kennedy’s place after his assassination.
IN 1965...



combat units were deployed.

Military advisors began arriving in Vietnam in 1950.

In the 60’s the war began to escalate.
CIVIL RIGHTS
MOVEMENT

Rosa Parks started the largest
boycott when she refused to
give up her seat on the bus to a
white passenger. The people of
Alabama would boycott buses
for 381 days.
DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
          Believed in a
          peaceful
          approach to earn
          equal rights.

          Assisted in the
          “Bus Boycott”
          and gave a
          famous speech in
          Washington,
          D.C. where
          200,000 people
          listened.
VIETNAM & U.S.A.

      Young boys were drafted as many stood for
      peace and love.
