This document describes a CodeIgniter application that allows uploading and displaying images stored in a MySQL database. The .htaccess file configures URL rewriting. The database configuration connects to a local MySQL database named "images". The MainController handles displaying images, uploading new images, and saving images to the database using a model. The MainModel interacts with the database, saving image titles and paths and retrieving image data. Views display the upload form and retrieved images. Configuration files setup default routing and autoload classes.

Drupal.js: Best Practices for Managing Javascript in DrupalBryan Braun
Drupal has specific ways for working with Javascript, whether it's including files through drupal_add_js() or keeping your site structured with the Libraries. If you don't learn the correct techniques, you'll pay the consequences down the road.

Check username availability with vue.js and PHPYogesh singh
Live username availability checking on the registration page is the common feature in most of the website.
This will notify the user whether the username is already been taken or not before submitting.
To do this require AJAX.
Send a request to check the username on the bases of response perform the action.
In this tutorial, I show how you can check username availability using Vue.js and PHP.
Talk was presented at PGConfUS on April 20th, 2016.

With features like foreign data wrappers, Postgres makes it easy for you to integrate rich data stores into your application architectures. Yet sometimes you only have a few rich data structures to deal with, or can’t afford the time and resource cost of running a NoSQL cluster alongside Postgres. Happily Postgres natively supports several document data formats, giving you the best of both worlds in one database. You can keep document oriented data solely within Postgres, or write a foreign table schema that’s naturally compatible with your document database.
At this talk you’ll learn how to access document data stored in Postgres, and write Ruby code to make use of the data with your favorite ORM. We’ll survey the various document stores which are natively supported in Postgres. You’ll learn what are the pros and cons of each data type, and come away understanding which use cases are best suited to each document store.

Service discovery and configuration provisioningSource Ministry
Slides from our talk "Service discovery and configuration provisioning" presented by Mariusz Gil at PHP Benelux 2016
Apache Zookeeper or Consul are almost completely unknown in the PHP world, although its use solves a lot of typical problems. In a nutshell, they are a central services of provisioning configuration information, distributed synchronization and coordination of servers/processes. It simplifies the processes of application configuration management, so it is possible to change its settings and operation in real time (eg. feature flagging). During the presentation the typical cases of use of Zookeeper/Consul in PHP applications will be presented, both strictly web and workers running from the CLI.

Let's look at some touted features such as closures, namespaces, and traits, as well as some features being discussed for future releases.
This talk represents the combined experience from several web development teams who have been using Symfony2 since months already to create high profile production applications. The aim is to give the audience real world advice on how to best leverage Symfony2, the current rough spots and how to work around them. Aside from covering how to implement functionality in Symfony2, this talk will also cover topics such as how to best integrate 3rd party bundles and where to find them as well as how to deploy the code and integrate into the entire server setup.
Drupal isn't a content management system. It's an application development platform that happens to ship with a great CMS as it's default implementation. Look at any chart comparing features of development frameworks and you'll see user management and authentication, forms management and validation, data storage, database migrations, internationalization and translation, MVC model with flexible templating, unit testing, and caching. Sounds a lot like Drupal. We'll look at why Drupal is an ideal application development platform for apps beyond content management, talk about where Drupal can improve in these areas, and look at an example application.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
