Write a short (1 or 2 words) answer in each box
Trade worksheets with your partner
Ask yes/no questions (Did you + base form) to find out
why your partner wrote each short answer.
Example:
Student A wrote, “Paul”
Student B asks, “Did you talk to Paul on the phone last
week?” or “Did you go on holiday/vacation with Paul last
year?”
Continue until you have discovered the reason for each
short answer.
