The High Impact Instructional Leadership Participant
Manual
High Impact Instructional Leadership (HIIL) is a professional learning
initiative that networks Instructional Leaders. HIIL has been
developed by Dr Tina Doe: an Australian teacher education and
professional learning expert. The HILL program has at its heart an
action research, project based professional learning methodology.
Participants set target Learning Intentions for their individual/team
SMART goal and determine success criteria that measure the extent
of achievement of their goal.
This participant manual provides a series of High Impact Instructional
Leadership resources which participants use as they network through
their HILL professional learning initiatives.
The manual focuses on creating teaching capacity through
Instructional Leadership for Expert Team members. The through
line is about the alignment of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment
to enable teachers to demonstrate pedagogical capability as
determined by the relevant Professional Standards. Ultimately any
HIIL SMART goal project and network will be working to maximize
potential for students.
