BASIC ESL Online
Basic ESL Online is designed for schools, libraries and
literacy programs looking to provide structured online
English language lessons to their students.
The lessons can either be used as a curriculum for adult
literacy programs or as an effective additional resource
for schools with diverse ELL students.
The Basic ESL program teaches vocabulary and
sentence structure in a way that gives students a
true understanding of how to use English correctly.

Basic ESL lessons focus on four basic building blocks of
communication. The first building block is being able
to listen and understand. The second building block
of communication and conversation is being able to
ask and answer questions. The other two necessary
foundations are vocabulary and sentence structure.
Basic ESL builds your understanding of English block-
by-block by gradually building on the concepts and
topics of each lesson.
The Basic ESL course content is broken down into 3
levels. Each level has 5 chapters, including 3 lessons per
