The Show Must Go On: Leadership Lessons from the TheaterTechWell
When creating a play or movie, what are the first three rules of directing? Casting, casting, and casting. How does Saturday Night Live produce sketch after sketch of comedy? By iterating. John Krewson finds that the principles of leadership and management in the worlds of theatre, TV, and film offer a number of lessons in the management of teams, talent, products, and change. These lessons are invaluable to those who are leading high performing software development teams or managing a software product. John takes you through the journey of creating and delivering theatrical and film productions, then shows how you can use practices like the rehearsal process and the development of a comedy revue to improve the software delivery process. He dives into specific approaches and methods used by performers and directors to harness creativity, develop shared understanding, empower and motivate teams, and manage focus. John shares multiple interactive demonstrations that further illustrate the application of these principles.

In this webinar, the effect of thin film on the solar panel construction was discussed broadly.
Large Solar Systems; Utility Scale - Project Management: Time, Cost ,Quality , Human Resource ,Communications , Risk , Procurement and Integration Management within Responsibilities as Negotiation of EPC contracts with construction contractors, Oversee project schedule ensuring that it is being adhered to throughout the EPC phase, Management of external consultants, Overall project support throughout construction, Overall change orders and constructability reviews, Supervision of site construction team.
In the past two years, the dye sensitized cell (DSC) market has come of age and has moved out of its R&D phase. The performance of DSCs is now comparable with amorphous silicon PV, but with much more potential than a-Si for performance improvements. DSC’s also offers an ability to be deployed on flexible substrates and perform under non-peak insolation.
This report provides an in-depth market analysis of recent developments in DSCs, examining the meaning of the latest products, strategies and technical developments. We identify how performance improvements are likely to help grow addressable markets for DSC and where these new markets are to be found. Specifically, we examine the potential for DSC in the BIPV sector and how DSC is likely to do in a world in which solar energy is not the hot topic that it was a few years ago.
The report also appraises the commercial significance of the developments that have taken place in the DSC over the past year; for example, attempts to reduce the cost of dyes and electrodes. And it also includes NanoMarkets’ assessments of the strategies of leading firms active in the DSC space. And, as always with NanoMarkets reports, this report also contains granular forecasts of DSC panel and materials shipments in volume and value terms.

Singapore Solar Energy Profile: Singapore Advances towards Solar, Clean Energ...Solar Magazine
Singapore continues to advance towards achieving its renewable energy and climate change goals, installing rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on public housing, and more recently with the launch of floating solar energy R&D initiatives and project development. The country could be doing more, faster, according to some, more specifically when it comes to policy-making and adoption of solar energy in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector, however.
Solar power generation capacity in Singapore is likely to exceed 350 megawatts-peak (MWp) by 2020, a national goal...

Portfolio Solardesign Professional Studio: extensive background experience in process and energy engineering, involving principally Solar energy and PV power plants, Building Envelope Integration (BIPV) , Building’s Energy Efficiency, Energy Modeling, Strategic Project Planning and Concept Development; Energy Efficient Planning for Municipalities.
This is the first report in the world to look at the intersection of solar PV and digitalisation and to look at how new digital technology can be applied to solar. It seeks to answer how solar can make the most of the market opportunities of digitalisation, and how digitalisation can be a driver for more solar deployment. It looks at new and improved business models, the digitalisation of the entire solar value chain from manufacturing to operations and maintenance, and digital integration of the technology into the grid.

I am writing in enthusiastic support for Dario Nicodemo, born in
Ponte dell’Olio (Italy) on January 31st
, 1985.
Dario has been working at schlaich bergermann und partner – sbp
sonne gmbh from February 2nd
to July 10th
in the solar energy team.
Within very short time he learned about the specific
characteristics and requirements for concentrating solar power
(CSP) plants and became an extremely valuable member of the team.
During his stay, Dario worked on several projects. He
substantially contributed to development and testing of an
innovative cost-efficient heliostat design. Dario successfully and
timely realized several tasks. A selection is listed below:
- Evaluation of measured data from a prototype being operated
in southern Spain - Evaluation of the effect of wind on
tracking accuracy.
- Programming of an Excel spreadsheet that interpolates a
solar field performance matrix for the desired solar angles
using Krieging interpolation from annual performance runs.
- For a CPV project he calculated PV module efficiency using a
Matlab™ model that considers flux distribution on the
module, i.e. differences in solar flux density between
different PV cells that are electrically and thermally
connected.
- For a power tower feasibility study performed for a North
African governmental entity Dario calculated solar field
layouts that consider special local boundary conditions
(size of plot, roads, etc.)
- Ray-tracing evaluation of the optics (shading & blocking) of
a small heliostat field with pentagonal heliostats.

Letter of Recommendation for Dario Nicodemo
We immediately noticed that Dario is a very competent and easy-to-
work-with colleague. As mentioned above, Dario significantly
contributed to our current R&D activities in the area of solar
thermal central receiver power plants.
Due to his very positive personality, his friendliness, his
helpfulness and, last but not least, outstanding competence, Dario
has become an important and integral part of the sbp solar group.
We would have been more than happy to continue this excellent
cooperation for many more years to come and had therefore planned
to offer him a job. Unfortunately the current unclear and somehow
difficult situation in the solar energy industry does not allow us
to do so now.
We fully recommend Dario and wish him all the best for his future
personal and professional life.
