The festival aims to celebrate folk dance and music through educational workshops and social dancing opportunities.
The document advertises events for The Big Longridge Weekend organized by GLASS and The Friends of the Longridge Civic Hall to raise funds. The events include:
1) A cheese and wine evening on Friday at St Wilfrid's Club with experts discussing cheeses and wines.
2) Art workshops, music, and exhibits at the Old Station on Saturday and Sunday with a small fee for workshops.
3) A food and crafts festival on Sunday at the Longridge Civic Hall with free admission, demonstrations, stalls, music, and refreshments.
The document provides information about a campaign called "Remember A Charity" involving the launch of a new restaurant called "Cafe De Mort" serving potentially deadly foods. Masterchef host Gregg Wallace will oversee the restaurant, which will open for two nights in February in a London church crypt to encourage people to leave gifts to charities in their wills. While the menu is secret, each of the six dishes could be lethal if not prepared correctly. Gregg Wallace and Remember A Charity hope the risky dining experience will remind people of the importance of estate planning and supporting charitable causes.

3. Welcome to the
Good evening and welcome to the Robbie Schofield
Charity Dinner 2016. It is lovely to see so many family
and friends here to help us to remember a special life
on what will be a spectacular evening.Your support is
truly invaluable to us as a family.
Robbie was the light of our lives and remains a true
inspiration to us. We miss him dearly every day and
evenings like these show just how loved he was to
those around him. He loved to enjoy himself and
spend time with family and friends, so we see this as
a fitting tribute, filled with music and loved ones.
Nothing will ever help to repair what has been done
to us but tonight can still help others. Brake work
tirelessly to campaign for safer roads; everyday 5
people are killed on UK roads – this needs to change.
Brake also provide vital support to those bereaved
in road incidents, like us. Nothing can prepare you
for a knock on the door from a police liaison officer.
Brake have a dedicated support line and a team of
volunteers who train liaison officers – this support
can be a lifeline.
Barrett’s Oesophagus Campaign likewise work to
offer awareness. Up to 1 in 10 who develop this
condition will develop cancer of the oesophagus. Less
than half will survive for more than 3 years. Barrett’s
Oesophagus can easily be diagnosed and be treated
to help prevent cancer but is unknown and more
awareness is needed.
We hope you all have a fantastic evening, packed full
of fun and entertainment. You can look forward to
pulling silly faces in the photobooth, kindly donated
by the Photocabin, a wonderful acoustic pairing in
Ayesha and John who have given up their evening to
perform, Bargain Hunt and TV star Charles Hanson
taking charge of the live auction, and a headline set
from The Retweets, Robbie’s band.
Let’s all do what he loved to do himself and raise a
glass to Robbie tonight.
Thank you for doing your part to help save lives.
Best wishes
Nigey, Lizzie, Jack, Tabby and Millie
