   POLICY:-

   Defect free condition and control of equipment's.

   QM activities to support quality assurance.

   Focus on prevention of defect at source.

   In –line detection and segregation of defects.
   TARGET:-

   Reduce in process defects by 50%

   Reduce cost of quality by 50%

   NEW QUALITY TOOLS:-

   The most commonly used and well known quality process
    is the plan/do/check/act (PDCA) cycle.

   Another popular quality improvement process is the
    PROFIT model

   P= Problem definition.
   R= Root cause identification and analysis.
   O=optimal solution based on root cause.
   F=Finalize how the corrective action will be implemented.
   I=Implement the plan.
   T=Track the effectiveness of the implementation and verify
    results.

    It is a method used to measure the quantity of
    output of worker, machine, or an entire national
    economy in the making of good, services, or
    commodities to produce income.

     Establish a new joiner program.

     all employees should be given adequate targeted
      training .

PRODUCTION PROCESS
FINDINGS

   There is ODU service walls problem in the AC
    manufacturing process.
FINDINGS
   Pallet obstructed when it will enter on the
    conveyor at the turn table.
FINDINGS
   Manual handling of AC units increase the process
    time, production cost, and chances of damage.
FINDINGS
    New Technology like TPM (total productive
    maintenance) are not implemented in the company, it
    will help the company to increase the productivity and
    quality more efficiently.

   Neglecting the small things at earlier stage during the
    manufacturing is giving problem in further process.

   There is very good coordination between each section of
    the assembly.

   There is ample space for the growth of the Videocon
    brand.
RECOMMENDATIONS
   They can implement the technology like TPM
  ( total productive maintenance). Kizen ,Six sigma
 etc.

    By removing the MS bar they can reduces the
     problem of ODU walls, so they can increase the
     quality of the product.

    They can reduces the production loss by making
     the proper taper guide on the conveyor.
RECOMMENDATIONS
    They can increase the productivity by placing the
     small conveyor to place the AC units in the trolley.

    By using the latest machineries which would be
     beneficial for improving quality and productivity.

    They can restructure the plant layout so it will lead to
     improvement in the productivity .

    They can improve the quality and productivity by
     giving the proper training to the employees.
CONCLUSION

   productivity and quality improvement is a
    on going and continues process and every
    organization should try to adopting a new tools
    and technologies for the continues improvement
     in the quality and productivity.
