The document provides information about upcoming events and awards at a school. It announces that the next star students will be Sierra and Nihal, and that the school will have a harvest party on November 16 instead of celebrating Halloween. It also notes that an auction will be held on November 9 to allow students to spend earned money, and requests donations of items. Several students are recognized for character awards in honesty.

This Week’s Academics
Spelling– We learned about compound words, frequent spelling patterns for the
long/a/ sound, and how words can have more than one meaning.
Reading– We finished reading Stone Fox this week. We are currently working on book
activity to go along with it that we can display on our bulletin board.
Writing- This week, we focused on the proper use of quotation marks.
Math– We finished our unit on decimals this week. We learned how to add/subtract
decimals, label decimals on a number line, and how to round decimals. We will take
our test next Tuesday (Mrs. Atwood’s math class).
