2) They transformed the entryway into a formal foyer with an inlaid marble floor and mirrored ceiling, and reworked the floor plan to open up the living spaces.
3) Throughout the remodel, the designers incorporated polished design elements like hickory floors, light gray walls, and dark window trims to create a cohesive and sophisticated aesthetic, while using vibrant jewel tones to define individual rooms.

The renovation transformed the space into a sleek, contemporary home suitable for both entertaining and everyday living.
The kitchen isn't just a room; it's the heart of the house, where memories are made and smells dance through the air. All the sounds around you, from the fridge's soft hum to the rhythmic chop of veggies on the cutting board, bring you food and comfort. It's a creative space where heat and skill are used to turn simple ingredients into culinary wonders.
Families get together here to eat and laugh, and they form bonds over hot bowls of soup or hearty roasts just out of the oven. It's a place where loved ones share recipes, keeping traditions and tastes alive for years to come.
But for the cook who works alone, the kitchen is also a safe place to be away from the stress of everyday life. There is a place to relax where you can get lost in the beat of kneading dough or the slow cooked food.
Anyway, it's not just about food; it's also about speech and discovery. When cooking, the kitchen is a blank canvas where flavors and textures can come together to make sensory music. This is true whether you are trying out new spices or making a classic dish even better.
The kitchen is a warm and familiar place where everyone feels welcome. It provides food for the body and comfort for the mind.

2. Navy Blue Cabinets
A 48-inch six-burner Viking cooktop and a GE Profile microwave are set into old-
fashioned navy blue cabinets, made by Fieldstone Cabinetry, in a Southampton
farmhouse kitchen designed by Lynn Butler Beling.
3. Weathered Wood Cabinets
In the kitchen of a Los Angeles house designed by Chris Barrett, the
cabinetry has a comfortably weathered look, with Whitechapel knobs.
Bianco Strata Nero countertops.
4. Solid Hardwood
Wooden Cabinets by LessCare, all custom LessCare cabinets are constructed with solid wood –
no particle board anywhere. Cabinet doors and frame are made of 3/4" solid wood and cabinet
sides are made of 5/8" thick plywood. Wall kitchen cabinets are equipped with soft-closing
5. Bright Green Cabinets
Designer Carey Maloney and Hermes Mallea tricked out the kitchen of a New York
townhouse with gleaming metal cabinets in green. The cabinets pick up the veining in
the countertops, making the marble appear greener.
6. High Gloss Cabinets
These whites in a Ray, New York designed by Louise Brooks are not only clean, they sparkle.
Custom cabinetry in Benjamin Moore's high gloss super white is topped with counters made of
crystallized glass by glassos.
7. Hidden Appliances
In a Mount Kisco, New York, farmhouse kitchen designed by Young Huh, Shaker-style cabinets by
Plain & Fancy, painted Teresa's Green by Farrow & Ball, have a wonderfully old-fashioned but
surprisingly fresh look. The Miele dishwasher has a cabinet front, so it doesn't break up the line
of cabinetry under the counter.
8. White Cabinets With Glass Knobs
Designer Mick De Giulio added extra to the 2012 kitchen of the year in New York with glass-and-
nickel cabinet knobs. They're refined but also "have a little glitter" to them.
9. An Industrial Look
Dan Doyle used salvaged wood, raw steel, and glazed brick to give a St. Helena, California,
kitchen a sturdy, industrial look. Cabinetry is painted Benjamin Moore's Kingsport Gray.
10. Think Upward
Home Depot designer Emily O'Keefe added cabinetry with period charm to this small kitchen.
"Since space was tight, I went up, stacking the cabinets," she says. "The ceilings are 11 feet high,
but not every cabinet touches the ceiling — that way they look more like furniture."
11. Reclaimed Molding
In Annie Brahler'sJacksonville, Illinois, Victorian, the kitchen island's new cabinetwork
incorporates molding from an old bed. Dishwasher by Bosch; sink by American Standard.
