This witness letter was not excepted by the Monterey Superior Courts on Feb. 29th 2024. Case # 23DV000450. His lawyer said I wrote it and that anyone could have signed it even though the witness was present. The judge was not interested in hearing from any of the witnesses.

Your Honor,
I have known Wyman Lee and Victoria Lee for over 5 years now and I have lived with them
from March 2020 to January 2021. One of the first interactions I had with Wyman was when I
was visiting Serafina at her house in Salinas, CA. Wyman showcased his guns and displayed
them in front of me. The few guns that I can remember he had were an uzi with a suppression
barrel attached to it, .22 marksman rifle, one shotgun, various pistols, and a safe cracker. He had
told me he could only acquire it through an out of county source somewhere in Russia or
Germany. Each gun was also loaded and chambered. When showing me the weapons he
acknowledged that having the suppression barrel was illegal in the state of California and that the
guns were not registered in his name.
On a different visit I was in Serafina’s room hanging out as I was gathering my stuff to start
going home Wyman had come home. From the moment he had opened and slammed the door
shut me and Serafina both knew he was angry over something. After he had slammed the door he
yelled at Serafina and started stomping up the stairs. He then banged on the door yelling at her to
come open the door, after doing so he yelled straight into her face spitting and without care that
she was only maybe a foot away. He was screaming about the dishes not being clean when he
had come home from work, and that coming home and seeing that was disgusting. Serafina had
tried to tell him the reason they were not done was because I was there and she would have
cleaned them once I had left. He didn't even seem to hear or even understand what she had told
him, he started to yell louder. Serafina was starting to close the door because he was relentlessly
screaming at her, he then grabbed the door and forced it open so hard, her hand had got smashed
2. between the wall and the doorknob. She then fell to the floor out of pain and started to cry. After
witnessing this in person I tried to comfort Serafina while he was yelling at the both of us. He did
not even care that he had hurt her, I then told him to calm down and even repeated that she was
going to do it when I had left. He then started to yell directly in my face which I told him to back
off, after telling him that he started to yell that I was disrespecting him in his house and that I
needed to leave. When he had told me to leave, I acknowledged that he didn't care that his
daughter was on the floor crying in pain, that he had physically hurt her, and all he could think
about was dirty dishes. After saying that he told me again to leave or he will force me to, to
which I told him I was about to leave until he started to have a tantrum over dishes. I gathered
my belongings and walked out the front door where he was right behind me yelling at me all the
way. Once I left, Serafina called to tell me she was packing a bag to stay at her friend, Rhiannon
Mill’s house because she was scared of Wyman. She stayed there for a few days.
I had also witnessed some financial abuse as well. Everytime Victoria would go grocery
shopping for the family Wyman would turn all of the credit cards off and questioned her
purchases. He would tell Victoria that if she needed to go get groceries then he needed to be
present.
Sincerely,
James Espejo
