1) Hezekiah initially was a good king of Judah but showed his treasures to Babylonian envoys, prompting a prophecy that everything in his house would be taken to Babylon.
2) The document discusses what a godly family should exemplify based on biblical principles - a husband loving his wife, parents rearing children in God's will, and children honoring their parents.
3) It calls readers to consider what others see in their own house and family, and whether it reflects godly priorities.

We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. “What Have They Seen In Your House?”
2 Kings 20:12-18
Verse 12. “At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of
Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a
present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that
Hezekiah had been sick.
Verse 13. “And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and
shewed them all the house of his precious things,
the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the
precious ointment, and all the house of his armour,
and all that was found in his treasures: there was
nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion that
Hezekiah shewed them not.
3. Verse 14. “Then came Isaiah the prophet unto King
Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men?
And from whence came they unto thee? And
Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country,
even from Babylon.
Verse 15. “And he said, What have they seen in thine
house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that
are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing
among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
Verse 16. “And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the
word of the Lord.
“What Have They Seen In Your House?”
2 Kings 20:12-18
4. Verse 17. “Behold the days come, that all that is in
thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up
in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon:
nothing shall be left, saith the Lord.
Verse 18. “And of thy sons that shall issue from thee,
which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and
they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of
Babylon.”
Note: Isaiah 39:1-7 are parallel references to 2 Kings
20:12-18.
“What Have They Seen In Your House?”
2 Kings 20:12-18
5. Background of the Text:
Hezekiah, son of Ahaz, made king over Judah,
2 Kings 18:1; 2 Chronicles 29:1.
Ahaz, a wicked man, 2 Chronicles 28:1-4.
Therefore the Lord delivered him into the hand of the
king of Assyria, 2 Chronicles 28:5
Hezekiah, notwithstanding his family background,
was a good king, 2 Kings 18:3-5.
He was Judah’s 13th King; 25 years old when he began
to reign, reigned 29 year in Jerusalem, 2 Kings 18:2.
6. Hezekiah Reigned
During Turbulent Times!
Especially due to the dangers posed by
the King of Assyria.
All Israel taken captive, 2 Kings 18:10-11.
King of Assyria took all the “fenced cities
of Judah” (2 Kings 18:13) and threatened
to destroy Jerusalem.
But Hezekiah asked Isaiah to pray, and
God “heard” his prayers, 2 Kings 19:35.
7. Others Facts of Interest:
A great engineering feat, 2 Chronicles 32:30.
God informed Hezekiah that he would die and not
live, 2 Kings 20:1; Isaiah 38:5. He prayed fervently,
and God answered! 2 Kings 20:2-11.
God blessed Hezekiah abundantly, 2 Chronicles
32:27
The King of Babylon sent an envoy to Hezekiah,
and Hezekiah showed them all that was in his
house, 2 Kings 20:12-18.
Isaiah gave some sad news to Hezekiah, 2 Kings
20:18; Isaiah 39:7.
8. Observe:
Hezekiah started out as a good king, but blessings
from God, success, and prosperity took their toll
on him, 2 Chronicles 32:24-26.
His prayers for a longer life were granted. During
the last 15 years Manasseh was born, and he
became a very evil king, 2 Kings 21:2,6,16.
Because of Manasseh’s influence, God brought evil upon
the nation, 2 Kings 21:11-12.
To his credit, Manasseh later humbled himself before
God, 2 Chronicles 33:11-13.
9. Application:
“What have They Seen In Your House?”
What Should Be Seen?
A Husband Who is the head of the wife, Ephesians
5:23. And who loves his wife as Christ loved the
church, Ephesians 5:25.
A wife who is submissive to her husband, Ephesians
5:24, and who respects him, Ephesians 5:33
Parents who rear their children according to the will
of God, Ephesians 6:4.
- This includes instruction in the things of God,
and proper discipline!
10. What Should Be Seen? (continued)
Children who obey and honor their parents,
Ephesians 6:1-3.
A family with a good work ethic, 2 Thessalonians
3:20; Proverbs 6:6-8.
A family whose members pray, study their Bible,
worship God with regularity and serve Him
faithfully, I Thessalonians 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:15;
John 4:24; I Corinthians 15:58.
A Family where God reigns supreme! Matthew 6:33
11. What Others See is Important!
God Sees Everything!
He knows our thoughts, I Corinthians 3:10.
Wicked thoughts contributed to the flood being
brought upon the earth, Genesis 6:5.
Sin can be committed in the mind, Matthew 5:28.
He knows when we think too highly of
ourselves, Romans 12:3.
He is aware of our words, Matthew 12:36.
He will bring everything into the judgment,
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.
12. What Have Our Children
Seen in our House?
They learn early in life what our priorities are!
They are quick to discern hypocrisy!
What do children think of their parent’s
priorities when parents require them to do
their homework at school, but don’t make the
same requirements for their Bible Class
assignments?
13. What Do Others See In Our House?
Do they see reading material that
should not be there?
Do they see a family whose priorities are
out of order?
Or do they see a family that loves God,
loves one another, cares for one another,
and which shines as lights in the world,
Philippians 2:15?
14. A Sad Fact:
Today’s World is Spinning out of Control!
We deplore the immorality of many of our
nation’s leaders. Proverbs 14:32; 29:2.
We deplore the decisions of some of the courts
of the land.
Legalizing abortion. 56,405,766 legal abortions in
America from 1973 to 2013! cf. 2 Kings 21:16.
Legalizing “same sex marriage,” Matthew 19:3-5!
Calling evil good and good evil, Isaiah 5:20.
15. Curriculum in schools largely influenced by
the philosophy of Secular Humanism.
The entertainment industry largely seems to
be amoral! “Anything goes!”
Many churches in America are preaching
everything except the gospel of Jesus Christ!
But of gravest concern in our land should be
the break-down of Home and Family!
A Sad Fact:
Today’s World is Spinning out of Control!
16. Conclusion:
The world, for the most part, needs changing.
The place to begin is the family – in your
family and in my family!
“What have they seen in your house?”
“You” are a part of your house (family); Are you
prepared to meet God? Amos 4:12.
