A 1 minute pitch should introduce the speaker in 10 seconds, describe a problem to be solved in 20 seconds, explain the proposed solution such as a product in 20 seconds, and ask what is needed for success such as people, skills or tools within the final 10 seconds. The pitch should tell a story and be kept simple without props. Extensive practice is needed to perfect an effective pitch within the tight time constraints.
