• The people were my mum, dad,
grandfather grandmother, aunt
Jessica and uncle Terry.
3. Why did my family migrate to
New Zealand?
• In 1989, 4th June, numerous college
students in China rebelled against the
Chinese government.
• Hong Kong belonged to United Kingdom
before 1997, so before 1997, my family
decided to make a move, before the civil
unrest comes to Hong Kong after 1997.

4. The challenges when
migrating change in
• Having to encounter a massive
environment.
• Having to communicate with English in the
public.
• Nowhere to settle in when just came to
New Zealand, so my family had to quickly
buy a house.
5. What did my family enjoy
through the migration?
• Being together with each other, and
making a friend when just arrived in
New Zealand.
