While repairing a safety berm, a 25cm rock rolled down the slope and fell 40m from a worker walking below. The operator was repairing the berm between benches 4070 and 4050 when the rock rolled from the higher bench to the lower one. Activities were immediately stopped and it was noted that future repairs should ensure any lower areas are isolated and restricted to prevent similar incidents. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from this event.
