in the middle of the biosphere reserve Rhön.
Since 1981, Dr. med. Jürgen Freiherr von Rosen has been the head of the
clinic. Here, one can find space for relaxation and healing. Space for
enjoyment, connecting with nature and reflecting about life.

3. Martin von Rosen is married and has four children.
His family is the center of his life.
In this free time he enjoys hiking, exploring unknown
paths in the Rhön and traveling to Nordic countries.
For Martin, working as a physician is his passion and
a major driver in this life. He is driven by his high
motivation, keen attention to his patients while
taking them seriously, listening to them, giving them
safety and security and working with them
throughout their healing process.
Martin von Rosen is a member of various medical and
donating associations. He regularly publishes articles
in specialist magazines, and is also a much
sought-after speaker at conferences.
In 1981, Jürgen von Rosen founded the Clinic
Dr. von Rosen in Gersfeld/Germany. And since then,
he has passionately focused on a holistic medical
approach, and has constantly developed his concept.
He successfully combines research, development,
teaching and therapy for the good of his patients.
Jürgen von Rosen is married and has five adult
children as well as several grandchildren. He
enjoys spending his free time exercising in the
fresh air-hiking on top of several hills in the Rhön
Mountains or participating in marathons and going
cross-country skiing.
He has written many specialist articles and books,
and is a member of various medical, funding and
donating associations.
Dr. med. Jürgen Freiherr von Rosen was born in 1938 in
Grocholin/Poland and grew up near
Friedberg/Germany. He started his medical career
attending medical school in Münster/Germany,
Lausanne/Switzerland and Berlin/Germany. During this
time, he developed a deep respect of the wealth of
knowledge that naturopathy and homeopathy provide.
In 1971, he opened a country’s doctor’s office in
Gersfeld/Germany in the Rhön.
Dr. med. Martin Freiherr von Rosen was born in 1968
in Berlin/Germany. He attended medical school at the
University of Würzburg/Germany. After completing his
studies, he worked as an assistant physician at the
St. Josef Hospital in Potsdam/Germany. In 1998,
he relocated to Norway working in the local hospital
Hamar. In 2004, he became a specialist physician for
internal medicine in Norway and worked there as a
senior physician for cardiology and oncology until 2006.
On his return to Germany in the same year, he became
head of the practice Dr. von Rosen in Gersfeld/Germany.

memories of the delicious food served by our castle kitchen stay as well?
We know for sure that tasty food creates unforgettable experiences.
Thus, we dedicate our full attention on buying and processing only fresh
and healthy products.
Over the years, we’ve built a small network of food producers that always fulfill
our highest quality standards. Our suppliers deliver fresh ingredients on a daily basis
that our culinary team uses to create and refine high-level, vegetarian and vegan
dishes, and if need be, dishes based on your individual diet.
Our organic baker bakes our bread using ancient grains such as wild emmer, spelt,
millet or buck wheat. We receive all dairy products from a Demeter farm in the
neighborhood, and our vegetables and fruits come from organic farms certified
by the German labels Naturland or Bioland.
We dedicate ourselves to creating diverse, delicious and healthy high-quality dishes.
And we publish our best recipes in our cook books that have reflected the excellent
cuisine of the Clinic Dr. von Rosen since many years.
And should you have visitors and would like to take them out for dinner, we will be
happy to give you our best recommendations for discovering and enjoying the
varied organic cuisine of the Rhön in regional and friendly restaurants following the

The Clinic Dr. von Rosen in Gersfeld/Germany is a rehabilitation and health clinic which has been privately
run by Dr. med. Jürgen Freiherr von Rosen for 35 years. In cooperation with an interdisciplinary therapist
team, the medical directors of the clinic, Dr. med Jürgen von Rosen and his son Dr. med. Martin von Rosen,
provide specific individual and combined therapies for patients with primary chronic disease patterns.
The physicians von Rosen help people, who suffer from disorders and diseases, discover and use
their own resources, and redesign their life responsibly. In doing so, they utilize only proven therapy
concepts based on solid humanistic values.
You will find us in the baroque castle park of the health resort Gersfeld (Rhön) with its unique healthy
climate. We are situated on a small hill in the historical art nouveau smaller palace “Parkvilla” from where
you will experience spectacular views across the native Rhön area. Our clinic is surrounded
by impressive old trees and charming silence.
The Clinic Dr. von Rosen is accepted by all public health insurances. It also treats private patients and is
eligible for state aid. The clinic has an approval in accordance with § 111 SGB V for rehabilitation and
prevention measures as well as an admission in accordance with § 30 of the German trade law. Patients of
the public health insurance may be accepted after a cost approval of their health insurance.
The same applies for patients eligible for state aid or private patients. However, private patients or patients
eligible for state aid can also be accepted without a cost approval or a medical referral. We gladly advise
self-paying patients individually as well. Furthermore, we also provide outpatient treatments such as
targeted programs, preventive treatments or individual therapies.
Our therapy offerings are solely designed for adults.
However, we can accommodate accompanying persons in our clinic during your stay.

We are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and measure our
quality through patient questionnaires, surveys among medical

Coming from the North: take freeway A7 to exit Fulda-Süd
(Dreieck Fulda), follow highway B27 direction Döllbach, then change
to highway B279 to Gersfeld.
Coming from the South: take freeway A7 to exit Brückenau-Wildflecken,
go via Wildflecken direction Oberweißenbrunn, and then
follow highway B297 to Gersfeld.
Coming from direction Frankfurt: take freeway A66, before Fulda
change to highway B27 direction Döllbach. Then, follow highway B279
to Gersfeld. Please note: There are speed cameras installed at the
highway entrances and exits of Rothemann, Altenfeld and Gersfeld!
By train
ICE station Fulda, then take the train or bus to Gersfeld.
