 The Philadelphia Freedoms – a great Philly sports team playing for a Championship Title in the Mylan World TeamTennis league.
 Owned by Billie Jean King, an internationally renowned sports and social equality icon with strong ties to Philly as a local business owner
and as the inspiration for the song “Philadelphia Freedom”.
 We’re different – and proud of it – inspired by Billie Jean’s premise that sports can be a platform for social change.
 So – we’re about equality – our teams feature men and women working and playing together.
 WTT is one of only 5 professional sports leagues to have played 40 seasons or more. The others are the NFL, MLB, NHL & NBA.
 Great players like Venus Williams, The Bryan Brothers, Coco Vandeweghe, Taylor Townsend and world #1 doubles player Marcelo Melo.
 The Freedoms provide year-round activities in the community – free racquets and clinics for kids, re-surfacing of the tennis courts at
Hunting Park and fundraising (almost one million dollars) for Assistance in Healthcare and cancer patients in need.
 We provide innovative branding, great connections and fantastic experiences!
 Six home matches between the dates of August 3 – 13, 2016.
