Transtech Driven offers fleet management services including IAP certification to help transport companies improve profitability. As the first company certified as an IAP service provider, Transtech has implemented IAP through its software and systems. Looking to the future, Transtech's CEO notes that IAP's technology-neutral design allows it to take advantage of innovations like voice recognition. Transtech also provides complementary services like dispatch, tracking, and fatigue management through its onTrack system. It aims to maintain its position as the top IAP service provider by meeting customers' needs.

Transtech Driven offers a range of both
IAP and non-IAP services to help transport
operators achieve higher levels of profitability
through better fleet management. Its most
recent achievement, though, was being
announced as a Certified IAP Service Provider
in July last year.
“Becoming IAP certified is a long process.
The hardware itself is only a small part of
it – there is also the software, the back-
up systems, the protocols and the critical
task of managing the privacy of clients’
information,” says Transtech Driven’s CEO,
Shaun Owen.
“As IAP has been designed to a functional
specification rather than a technical
specification, it is not limited by today’s
technology. As such, the way Transtech
has implemented IAP at the moment does
not necessarily lock in how it might be
implemented in five or 10 years’ time. As
new technologies become available, the
current specifications actually allow operators
to take advantage and roll them out.
“What we have today is a touch screen;
tomorrow it might be voice activated. There
is enormous opportunity to deliver innovation
within the context of the IAP, and that’s a
good thing for transport operators.
“I believe the majority of people that have
signed with us have said that IAP is the way
of the future. If you look at it as part of
running a business, then it’s a necessary tool
because it gives the Government confidence
that you are operating correctly and rewards
you with a larger road network and higher
mass. The real advantages for business
are the add-ons – Fatigue Management in
particular, which is a headache for most
fleets with more than five vehicles. However,
with Transtech Driven, Fatigue Management
is taken care of painlessly.”
Rich array of resources
One of Transtech’s greatest assets is the rich
array of complementary commercial services
that a transport operator can add to IAP.
Transtech has been delivering job dispatch,
proof of delivery systems, asset tracking,
trailer tracking and personal tracking to its
customers for a number of years, a service
that has just been improved by customers’
knowing that their technology partner has
been certified by TCA. Plus, all products on
offer link to onTrack, a premier web-based
tracking solution for the Transport Industry.
In choosing Transtech Driven, transport
operators can also have confidence in their
ability to think strategically and execute
tactically. Existing Transtech Driven customers
have shown trust in their integrity and have
faith in their capabilities. “This is because we
place a premium on the value of our human
resources. Our rigorous hiring process selects
only those of the highest calibre and ensures
they always have the skills to deliver the
answers you need,” Shaun adds.
The Transtech team consists of experienced
people that come from a transport
background, as well as highly qualified
software and hardware engineers. They
have a national network of certified IAP
installers, who have been carefully chosen
because of their vast experience in the
Transport Industry. They respond to your
every need and pride themselves on being
very flexible, as evidenced by their ability to
install equipment 24 hours a day, seven days
a week. They have even travelled to some of
the most remote places in Australia to install
equipment at no extra charge, including
Broken Hill and Goondiwindi.
Linking back to IAP
For Transtech Driven, customer satisfaction
is the primary measure of success. The IAP
support team is essential in ensuring clients’
needs are continuously met, especially in
regard to the Transport Industry’s myriad
regulations, in particular IAP.
“Transtech Driven’s customers expect – and
receive – dependable and timely resolution
to all their needs and enquiries. At Transtech
Driven we are determined to maintain our
position as the number one IAP Service
Provider and are well on our way thanks
to the many satisfied customers already
operating under IAP and spreading the
good news,” says Rohan De Silva, IAP
Development Manger.
“We encourage everyone to take advantage
of securing a face-to-face meeting with one
of our experienced IAP specialists. We can
then demonstrate the benefits of IAP and
the large array of complementary non-IAP
services.”
After becoming IAP certified 10 months ago, Transtech Driven
is already looking at ways to further enhance its network
of services.
